I've long thought a turbine on an exotic car would be fun.
Or actually two turbines.
A small 200-300 hp turbine for tooling around and regular driving. This is a common size for a helicopter turbine.
Then, when it's time to go fast, crank up the 1200 hp big helicopter turbine (using bleed air from the small one). Bleed air from the big one can also be used for aerodynamic effects, allowing better road stickage than normal.
The combined weight of the two would be in the 600-800 lb range, and the size comparable to a V10.
