I suspected that the on the air interviews were the second ones done
I just wonder when the actual appraisal is given. I've seen a few people look like they're going to faint, so my guess is that they were told, "Yes, this is authentic" without being given a specific price. This could be because the appraiser wants a second (or third or fourth) opinion before committing him/herself.
I've heard lots of appraisers say something like "I asked the other experts, and we all think..." So, that would fit with screening interviews being done earlier.e
