No employee would work if they thought that they wont get paid. The owner on the other hoof would try to keep the business running even if they where not taking anything home because the great investment that the business had already taken.

This would be a abuse of power over an employee but employers have been known to make employees do personal things for the employer.

The list of things that she did as her own responsibility at closing would pint to a manager or owner. The list of things she did for the husky for cleaning up her apartment would point to an employee.
