Re: Been past the "Old Phart" for over a decade now.
Today is my 63.5th birthday, as it happens.
I'm in pretty good shape, considering (though I swear I used to have upper body muscle--I have pictures somewhere). And I lucked into a good job two years ago that I'm planning to ride till they kick me off, and I can still bicycle and canoe moderate distances.
But I thought it would take a lot longer to outlive everybody I grew up with. Started noticing that at least 10 years ago. And it's way worse for my dad. Most of his best friends went to Korea, and aging was hard on those guys.
