If I might ask, what kind of Minolta setup did you have?
(Back when I had the time and patience for film photography, and before I discovered the wonder that is 3A film format (3-1/4 by 5-1/2, or Kodak 122 rollfilm; have to cut your own from larger roll stock as Kodak quit making this stuff back in the early 70s) I used to shoot 35mm film in a Minolta manual focus setup. Started with my grandfather's SR-T 101, which is exactly as old as I am (he bought it when I was born to take pictures of me; unfortunately he never was very good at using it, or else got tired of having to focus it, and eventually retired it for a 110 cartridge camera that he could point and shoot); later got an XG-7 body and finally an XD-11 body to go with my collection of lenses. All acquired from ebay or used shops, none of it in collectible condition, but it mostly works. No time or patience to do any of that now.)
