It is actually easier to carry a loaded firearm than to cary an ASP baton, in certain states.
The ASP used to be my standard "Less than lethal" tool of choice when a taser was not an option...nowadays you get thrown in jail if you are caught with one in most places.
Makes no sense to me, but I comply and the 45 is the main self defence tool again.
For a good history lesson on how governments de-arm thier people look up the steps the Nazi's took to de-arm the populace during that period..."For your own protection" my a$$.
