Trust me, I would take Perry over Obama, Hillary and company any day and preferably starting tomorrow. I am however saying that his job as Gov. of Texas is not the end all be all of executive positions. He does have some direct power over the state (but not as much as say the Gov. of PA) and more than a little influence in and about Texas. Getting business to relocate seems to be one of his specialties.
This may also have to do with Texas not being very shy about hurting union feelings when it is necessary, unlike, say, Illinois where the unions are "THE WAY IT SHOULD BE" never mind that we are going bankrupt here supporting them.
And now for something lighter: You watch that man Perry cut a ribbon on the new express lane on Death row...
