      When it comes to boring bars I always suggest just getting a cheap one. It's going to be imbalanced by purpose so that's not really an upfront concern like it would be with other typical toolholders. And even if the boring slide adjustment is junk, you can easily make fine adjustments by altering your spindle RPM. If you want another 0.001-0.002 inches larger in diameter, just increase the RPM by a couple hundred....easier than trying to adjust it mechanically in most cases.

      That's my take on it anyway. I use boring bars pretty infrequently though, maybe once a year or so...
