WOW!

by Becky

Hi, I'm Becky. I had my tubal in Sept.2000 after my third child was born. I was 21, now I am 23.
I totally lost all interest in sex(this can't be normal for a 23 year old!!). My husband and I went to the doctor, he said I had PMDD, wrote me a prescription for sarafem. We asked if it could be hormonal due to the tubal, I don't really recall getting a straight answer. The lost sex drive was really the only symptom that was paid any attention to by me because of the affects it was having on my marriage.

I was at a gathering this past weekend and out of 6 ladies, 4 had had tubals and were all on anti-depressants. This really got my attention!

So, now I've found this site and just want to bawl!
Had I know how this was going to turn my life upside down over and over again I NEVER would have had a tubal.
I have an appointment with a psychologist Friday(because I was for sure I was nuts and this was all mental and not physical), and an appointment with my doctor on the 13th to be put back on the pill. After the reading that I have done here, I'm not sure if that's such a good ideal without some testing first.

I have hated myself for the past year and a half, hurt my wonderful husband time and again by rejection, drove myself nuts and probably all those around me nuts, and I just want it to end...I want to be "normal" again.

Thanks so much for having this site!!

Becky
