I have no idea why they would prescribe that for you. Maybe if you called the Drs office and spoke to the nurse she could tell you why. Sometimes the nurses are more helpful than the Drs. Also I found a great book from PMS to Menopause. It is called Listening To Your Hormones by Gillian Ford. There are lots of stories in there about painful, awful periods and treatments that do not include Celebrex. I really am learning alot from this book. Dr. Vickie is in there along with Dr John Lee and it uses natural and prescribed hormones to balance you. Good Luck Denise
