No honey, you're not nuts & neither am I. I wish you luck with the pill, if you're going to try it. Just be prepared for the side effects. I had break-through bleeding, terrible headaches, lack of sex drive, and bloating. I really believe they made me flip out last week, too.
Have you gotten your hormones tested? If not, I think you should at least try asking your doc for the tests. At least you and he/she would know exactly where you need supplement.
The anti-depressants did great for me for a while and then I had side-effects with them as well. Cold night sweats, tremmors, etc. Definately lack of sex-drive (my poor, poor husband).
You're right about no cure, though. I was a bit depressed when I read some of the stuff here, knowing that the damage has already been done. I suppose we just have to concentrate on finding the right medicine to help control it.
