Couple of things...
by
Of course he said it was just PMS! They're all going to, no matter what we say. My doctor didn't bite yesterday, either...said he had never heard of it. I was wondering if he lives in a cave or something...
Anyway, I can share my experience with anti-depressants but remember that we are all different. Sarafem IS Prozac. Same stuff. It did make me feel better for a while and then it just kind of quit doing it's thing. My doc upped the dose, and then I started experiencing side effects. I had no appetite for sex whatsoever, for starters. I yawned continuously all day (which happens in only a small percentage of people), and that may seem trivial, but ALL THE TIME!?!? Lastly, I started having night sweats. Soaked my bedding and would be freezing to death almost every night!
Since then, I have tried taking smaller doses, but now I get the sweats after a couple of days...as soon as it starts kicking in. That's another thing...it takes forever to start working. I have tried other anti-depressants, but most of them are in the same class of drugs & effect me the same way. The other big issue for me is that I only feel this way certain times of the month, and I don't need or want to take pills when I'm fine.
You know, it may help you & it proably won't hurt, so you might as well give it a try, huh? Most everyone reacts differently.
