Hey Dee honey!

Don't stop! That's one of the first things my doc told me about Prozac (Which is the same as Sarafem). Once you start feeling better, you think you are ok now, so you quit the medicine. But...it is the medicine that is making you feel better, sweetie, and if you stop, yes...you may not be as tired in the afternoons, but you may be badly depressed again! What is worse...feeling tired or being depressed? You have to weigh the consenquences based on your own self-evaluation...what you can handle Have you tried a cafinated drink after lunch? Food digestion takes away from the brain's supply of oxygen, which also makes you sleepy. I combat that with either a cup of coffee, glass of tea, or soda (just one...caffiene is bad for you too! go figure)
Yes...it does make me sleepy. I yawn a lot in the afternoon, which actually is a respiratory side effect. All that stuff is in the leaflet that comes in the box, Dee. You can read the clinical studies and all.
The worse thing for me is no sexual appetite, which is not normal for me. But...I know how my hormones are right now, so I opt for sanity and little sex. I haven't gotten night sweats from it yet, so maybe the lower doseage is the thing for me. I forgot to take my pill this morning, and the one in my purse was the higher dose, but I took it anyway. If I have a better day, I'm going to ask for the higher miligram one instead. I still have been so cranky. Jon and I arguing all the time...you know..
Anyway...sorry this has been so long. Have a great day!
