The issue is informed consent, and full information.
As of now, abortion is legal and it's woman's right to have one if she so choices.
I'm not saying that I would have ever had one, luckliy I was never put or found myself in that possition. I do honor a woman's choice, once she's fully informed on about ANY procedure (including tubal ligation, abortion, or what have you...)
The issue here is not abortion rights, but a woman's right to _"information"_.
If an act of law can limit a women's right to information, what's next??? This web site (here) gives women information...
You think it's not tied into the issue here, but it is.
*The proposed bill would gut current federal law that requires
federally-funded health clinics to give patients (women) _full information about
their reproductive choices_, including abortion referrals.* (or information about PTS). *It would override
any state and local legislation that requires health care providers who
receive government funding (including Medicaid and HMOs that participate in
the program) to provide health services, full information and referrals to
women*
