Good question...but no answer.
by
Courtney,
You pose a very good question and I too would like more information on what to do now.
I am 53 and having long periods of bleeding and very very heavy bleeding along with a myriad of other symptoms possibly connected with this syndrome. I had a tubal ligation at the age of 40 and within three years I was suffering from almost debilitating PMS. You can imagine how much support I got for such a complaint. This bleeding problem which has left me chronically anemic and drained has been going on for three years.
At this stage in life though I am not so concerned with blaming anyone. Most of my doctors have been women that I like and for the most part well intentioned. I don't have this sense of conspiracy that I am hearing a good deal of. What I want is an answer to the same question you asked..."How long will this last?" and "Is there any cure besides HRT for the rest of my life?" With the information coming out now about HRT the choice seems to be which is the lesser of two evils. If you get any closer to an answer...give me a holler and I will do the same for you and anyone else who cares to listen.
