update on gynae visit
by stefanie
Hi there all,
Needless to say my gynae listened to my thoughts on the tubal causing my problems, but didn't actually 'hear' me.
In his opinion my ovaries and tubes looked perfectly healthy in my lap and so a reversal would have no effect - but a hyst would. He now wants me to try a 4-weekly injection to shut-down my ovaries to 'prove' that a hyst would work. In my opinion tho this would only prove that there was a problem with my ovulation and back up my thoughts on PTLS.
I was quite disheartened and visited my GP afterwards - luckily he was very understanding and has referred me for a 2nd opinion - he also thought I should hold off on the injections for now - think he feels my cycle has had enough ups and downs for now.
His letter to the gynae which he dictated while I was present was very supportive of my opinion and it has definitely given me some hope.
I will keep you posted.
Mandy - I have found some more discussions on About.com (sorry can't post a link as doing this on my digi-box thru the TV) and there is at least one more lady there from the UK called Moonlight.
Take care for now - I'll keep you posted
