Update
by Stefanie
Hi again - thanks for responding to my update on my gynae appt. It wasn't the same gynae as did the sterilisation, but my new referral is interestingly back to oringinal hospital so we'll have to see how that goes - at least it feels like my GP is on my side now. Not sure what the injection was called - was only taking half the stuff in by this stage - but I'm not going ahead with it now until I've had my 2nd opinion ( and a 3rd & 4th if necessary!!) I'm trying to get hold of a copy of 'No more hysterectomies' on Amazon at the mo - so haven't read it yet. Its top of my priorities now tho before my next appointment. I haven't read much about the progesterone cream - can you tell me more about it? I don't think that they took pictures during my lap - thought they only did that in the US? Susan - my symptoms are really heavy pelvic cramping leading into my legs, strong lower backaches, both at ovulation and during menstruation (including 4-5 days before the bleeding starts)I calculated that I'm having pain and having to resort to painkillers for about 35-40% of the time. I think what foxes the gynae is that I don't have really heavy periods, just (!) the debilitating pain. I also have had a big increase in headaches, increased mood swings and a tendency towards depression since the sterilisation. Mandy - hope to hear from you soon about the cream - http://forums.about.com/ab-womenshealth/messages?msg=1350.121 - this is - or should be - a link to the about.com discussion I mentioned in my last post. Take care everyone - Bye for now - Stefanie.
