Update

by Sue L.

I haven't been here for months and months. I wanted to
let you know that I had surgery in Sept'2000 and so far
things seem to be working fine. The 3 cysts on my right ovary are gone and the uterus is normal size.
I haven't had a period for almost 23 mos, but that suits me just fine. I am not pre-menopause as yet, but
still get hot flashes every once in a while. My blood
supply was cut off due to a tubal ligation in 1993, it
took me almost 6 years to get to the bottom of it. I
am walking, but the weight is slowing coming off. I
do have a third lifer blood clot and yes, I want to be medication free for just one day. My heart goes out
to all of you and hope that you can find a good doctor
and have all the hormone testing. I still have the uterus and right tube and ovary which I am thankful for. A hysterectomy was suggested only if the treatment did not work- and it did. I'm not saying that
zoladex helps everyone, but it clicked and helped me.
I regret having the tubal with everything I have and could have the fourth child I wanted. But we have four
nephews and one niece plus three kids. It satisfies
my maternal instinct. I did grieve though and it hurt
but it has to be behind me. I am still a sister to all
of you in the PTLS quest.
