i assume you are taking the piss, but if not, in the ad 16v is stated. As all sedici's are 16v. And all are 2.0 in the uk(could be 1.8 16v i guess) but 2.0 also stated in the ad. Sedici plus cash for Mondeo : )

how dare you

by gareth aherne

look, i was mearly asking about the engine details, 8 valve or 16 valve, im not stupid mate.

my mondeo is a brill car and it never goes wrong. these old fiats were never worth anything - allways going wrong with electrical probs and tons of rust

you keep it pal, ill keep the mondy.

don't get your knickers in a twist mate. Simply stating the obvious in the ad. Were you interested? If so it does seem odd you express interest then bag the car. Tons of rust? Sedici is galvinised and has a rear hatch made of plastic. Sounds like trouble to me too, you keep your mondeo mentality and leave the cars with soul to people who care enough to know what they are. Oh yeah, finally, sorry mitch to steal your thread, would buy in a minute if i lived in the uk. Good luck selling. : )

gearbox problems

by

Any ideas anyone? I find 2nd gear very difficult to get when changing down the box and it jumps out of reverse when reversing unless i keep my hand on the lever. I've heard talk of worn syncromeshes which might fit the 2nd gear problem but could the two be connected? Are spares available if i were to have the box apart? Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: gearbox problems

by mark

Does it crunch when changing down? it not & as u say it jumps out of reverse then check rear engine mount (under floor), gear linkage for wear & on later models that have a facility for linkage adjustment.

Thanks lads for your help. It does sound like it's the engine mount as it doesn't crunch when it does go into second. Turning some poly bushes for the gear linkage was on my list of jobs anyway, so as to take out some of the wooliness. I'll let you know how i get on.

130tc engine

by

I have a 130TC engine that has only done about 20,000 miles.
It was personally imported from Turin and put in my C reg in 1992. Then the car was written off.
Been in my shed ever since.
Documents to support.
PS: I also have a stunning E reg car (best out there?) going a bomb.
Anyone want the engine? with fly-wheel.
JJ.

by mark.s

If 2nd hand will do & no regata's can be found in scrapyards, try finding an old shape Seat ibiza.
This & Seat malaga models were based on origional strada & should have same bushes.
