I also will say be careful of what you do.. the ornaments are your treasures.. some pictures will bring back fun memories of your children.. I totally understand what you are saying.. so I would put those albums someplace else right now and revisit the idea of throwing away next year when you are in a settled place. you may want to give the albums to your children.. I also have 40 plus years of pictures with no me in them.. I will at some point go thru them and give some to each of my children and plan to get rid of trip albums that it was just us..I will down size my picture collection..
My wedding picture I took down after D-day 2 9 1/2 yrs ago.. it sits in the back of my closet.. I don't think that my H has ever noticed that it is missing.. it has never been mentioned..
