It's currently -10F with a windchill of -33F. This weather completely depresses me!

Anybody else turning into a popsicle?

Last I checked it was -35 with the windchill. Ha! Beat you by two degrees. Popsicle? Ever the optimist you are lol I am thinking more like an ice cube. Yup freezing cold I tell you and tomorrow I have to travel all over the place to get bridesmaids dresses. How exciting huh?

Thinking about you lately Kim, but have been offline until just yesterday. I hope you are doing well.

Hugs

Thanks peanut. I'm doing okay. It still feels like a bad dream and I have a hard time facing reality. Reality bites lol.

I'm keeping busy, that's all I can do besides taking care of me. It isn't the same all encompassing pain of an affair, but it definitely ranks. I see alot of what I went through after dday in my mom right now. I try to be the good daughter and help as much as I can, but I also am trying not to enable her too much. I really can't (healthwise and mentally) be there for her 24/7. I tried after my dad died and it left me exhausted and with no time to grieve on my own.

How is life on the other side of the artic?? lol

P.S. Good news is this is only supposed to last for a week - I can handle a week of "welcome to winter" weather.

Edited to add: oh and who is the bridesmaid dress for???!!!!

Dull and rainy here in England - and also a little rain inside my heart too.  But heartwarming to share a bit here.  And being in England you never know what the weather will be like tomorrow - Just like most things the changes seem to just keep coming and I try to manage myself through and remain open.

may you all be well and safe

gday

i thought i would pop in and say hi, given i havent been around for a while, what better way to link back in than to talk of the weather.

well today we had blue skies, the occassional cloud and the temp was about 34C which is about 93F.

we are looking at mid 30's for the week but on thursday we are looking at 98F

so some on down for some warm weather.

on boxing day it was the hottest day in Perth ever at 44C which is 111F. i know we are in summer but that was really ridiculous and it was humid. i got really sick, but will make another post on that,

so i hope my weather report helps to warm you all up.

also, for kim, remember when times are tough we need to look after ourselves first, this is not a selfish thing to do, but a self focused thing to do. besides when we are ok then we are in a better emotional/physical state to help others.

cheers for now

It's 15 degrees F here...the same, but different. LOL

Kid, when we had a cold snap a couple weeks ago it was 22 below F here, but where my H used to work (on the North Slope), at the tippy-top of the state, it was 45 below F with a 75 below wind chill!!!! Made us feel toasty warm in comparison.

I hope the packing of your dad's things went as you'd hoped.
Love,
Sun
