I just wanted to post this. Yesterday walking back to the car with my son he pointed up at a tree and said branch and giggled. I thought that was so cool for him. I just wanted to share. He has helped me see thru many dark times thru the years I am thankful for even one little word he is able to utter. He is my special. Maybe I can get him to say star soon too. (hugs all)

Wendy:

The progress of children is always a great joy no matter what the circuimstances. That's really neat that your son has been able to provide a source of happiness for you during difficult times.

I know we had the same experience with our kids, especially during the days following the revealing of the affair.

It's really something when kids start to shift their awareness to the world beyond them. For him to look up to the tree and notice it's branches is really something special. Thanks for the message.

Tom

Dear Lea - Yesterday I was asking myself what really mattered - as we do from time to time - And I really felt the thing we often mouth ie I said that it is only the relationships we have that count - And in your case, getting that link and response from your son is an example of how our relationships bring us sunshine and happiness.  I am also feeling that it is sometimes the most difficult relationships that can teach us most about how to be happy n ourselves.  Lastly I am pleased that you can bring that happiness to your son.

may you and your family and all those close to you be safe and well, contented and happy.
