A Disney World Vacation

We just got back from a 6 day Disney vacation. It was the first time in a while that we really had a great time. It wasn't relaxing though. If you have ever been to Disney you know that. It is constant go, go, go. It was just the three of us this year. Our boys decided that they were too old for Disney and thought they would have been bored. So they stayed home. Our daughter (14) had a great time. Didn't even mind being with mom and dad. I rode everything from the Tower of Terror, The Rocking Roller Coaster to the new roller coaster, Everest! My daughter said I was having fun and a good year! We also went to Discovery Cove for a day. Swimming with the sting rays was awesome. We didn't have the chance to swim with the dolphins but if we ever get the chance to do that again we will. It was really neat.

It was different this time. My husband seemed to be more relaxed and enjoying himself. It felt "normal" again. We have been growing closer these past couple of months and this just made things better. I feel loved, appreciated and happy. I don't know if it can get better than this. We have been having some great months without all the crap from before. It seems good to realize that we havn't talked about the affair in awhile. I don't really think about it all that much now. It feels like a distant memory and sometimes I ask myself if it really did happen.

I just want everyone to know that it can get better. It takes a lot of time and hard work to make it through it but it can happen.

Thanks for sharing your happy news, Laura. And did you happen to bring back some of that delightful weather for those of us in the snowy midwest?

FF, we had one day that was really hot but then it went down to 45 at night and only in the uppper 60's lower 70's. We did manage to get sunburned on our faces-thinking it was cloudy and didn't need lotion : ( We hated to come back to the cold MI weather. Wasn't fun this morning waking up to about 1 1/2 inches either. It's all gone now but having that taste of spring makes us want the warm weather soon!

Laura, sounds like you guys had a great time!! I'm very happy for you. And I think your sons are crazy for not wanting to go. LOL They missed out!

That relaxed "normal" feeling is refreshing, isn't it? It's like "oh yeah, this is what it feels like to be content and at peace". VERY happy for you, that you made some new memories that are pleasant, special ones.

Baby steps baby steps....the higher we set ourselves up the harder it is when we crash again and the roller coaster ride ain't over till its over.

Glad you had a great time though. It is NICE to feel normal again.
