Curious

I'm curious -

If you had been given this book for an engagement present, would you have taken it seriously?

Peggy is one of my heros - and after reading this site, I'm sure this is another great book....

but for those of us who thought it would never happen to us... would you have taken it to heart?

I think my H knew he was playing with fire when his 'good friend' started to make him tingle and he started looking forward meeting her for yet another coffee and they started down that slippery slope...

He knew he was married. She knew he was married. I wonder if a book would have made a difference.

What do you think?

Great line of thinking Susan.

If I had received it as a present in my marriage at any point, I would have been offended. Very offended.

As an engagement present, I would have returned it.

Not everyone understands that reading a book like Preventing Affairs is a good thing. My H's brother read a book about boundaries in marriage and his wife flipped. She couldn't understand why he did that. I was secretly proud of him. (they know nothing of our A situation)

I love Peggy and I think this is a great thing. I'm going to send the information to my pastor friend and tell him to add it to his resources when counseling couples before marriage.
