Last night I was in CHAT, Rett came in and he was able to say hello, I tried to respond but the responses didnt show up. Rett gave up and left. Then DH came in and the samething happened. I felt horrible...I didnt want them to think I was ignoring them or being rude. So is it CHAT or is it my computer? I have VISTA...does that make a difference? Anyway, sometimes when Im in CHAT what I write gets lost and if I write it again it shows up...other times no matter what I do nothing happens. Does anyone else experience this or is it just me?

I could see my own messages just now. I can check two people later on.

Tom...it seems to happen randomly...as it has happened to me prior to this. I also noticed that right after that I tried to get back on the board by opening another page in VISTA and it said web page not found. Was maintenance going on maybe? Maybe it's just VISTA (ugh)!

I don't know if Vista has anything to do with it. Network54's system does sometimes get overloaded or something, and chat seems like the most sensitive part of the site to that overloading. If it works sometimes, but not others, I'd guess that it was due to traffic issues more than anything else.

I will look at the support pages to see if there are any discussions about this that would indicate other people experiencing a similar difficulty

I figured you must have signed on but since the system doesn't notify you when you have a new response (as in Yahoo's or any other chat engine), I figured you were viewing other pages while waiting to see if anyone comes in. I know it can be boring just having that screen up, so I will tend to check other pages while waiting. I just clicked back over from time to time to make sure that you hadn't responded and thought I was ignoring you. I'm sorry your chat window wasn't working, would have liked to have talked with you. I know it is tough what you're going through and I'm here for you.
