Homey, I'm having trouble seeing what point you're making here.
Are the modern day Klan a vicious collection of insane crackers? No doubt. Are they largely nonconsequential these days? Yes. Did they engage in a significant amount of racial intimidation in our country's history, up to and including wholesale murder based on racial and even religious motives? Yes. Did the rule of law come down on them? Yes. That's why they are largely inconsequential in most areas of the country now.
Has there been a history of violence from black groups like the original and current Black Panthers? Yes. Has it been or is it wide spread? No. Does all of civilized America want them prosecuted and crushed by the rule of law when they engage in violence? Yes. Has the law enforcement targeted thugs who happen to be black? Yes.
Just ask the black thugs who were video-taped assaulting, robbing and violating the drunken white guy in Baltimore. Heck, go back in history. Just ask the black thugs who, in the aftermath of the Rodney King/police trial in the 1990s, pulled a white trucker out of his cab before beating and nearly killing him with a rock to the head.
All these thugs, who were no doubt black racist thugs, were socked with felonies and shamed (if they could be shamed) with media coverage.
The paranoia, fed by right-wing media, is that white America is under attack from minorities and that some sort of colloboration of "The Media" and social anarchists is enabling the attack. It's unsettling to ponder that such xenophobic victimizing was a feature that enabled Nazi Germany to grow in the 1930s.
A lot of America is under attack from criminals. A lot of them are black. In fact, a disproportionate percentage of them are black.
The very fact that prison populations are overwhelmingly high in black and hispanic inmates flys in the face of the paranoic belief a group is getting away with something because of their race or religion.
