Im turning 50 next week, using that logic, I am about the same age as a 16 year old. Hey, its only 34 apart, thats not much.
Happy B-day, Dacow, and welcome to the 50 Club, you old fart! According to actuary tables, we should both make it to 79. That makes a 34-year gap span a whopping 44% of the effective range...
LOL, this debate passed the silly stage a long time ago.
Here's my prediction of how it all shakes out:
- DeCastro becomes the celebrated, perennial Pro Bowler that everyone expects. His fame is magnified more by playing for the Steelers.
- Zeitler also becomes a fine guard, but is overshadowed by that guy in his division. Some experts think he's every bit as good, but like Andrew Whitworth, he lacks the recognition. Oh, the travails of playing for the Bungs!
- Thompson, coming via the Patriots pick, is a solid but unspectacular contributor for 4-5 years. Then he leaves for free agency.
- The Zeitler-DeCastro value comparison is forever muddled, thanks to these surrounding circumstances. MBS'ers argue about it for as long as the forum exists, especially Murf and Dacow.
