I have a soft spot for Benson because of the 2009 season. Then Marvin Lewis had to be a knucklehead and go away from a good thing. Benson's decline in YPC the last two years likely had more to do with blocking and scheme than with ability.
Yeah, Gruden will better utilize RBCN (running back with compound name). But for the Bungs, of all teams, to just throw away a good back, it seems strange. I'll love it if Benson can put together a good year.
