      I wasn't even aware Votto's father passed away. How long ago was this? What has made me curious about the whole Votto situation is that he has been hanging out with his teammates at batting practice during home games and apparently showing no signs of stress. Now sorrow is another thing altogether. We all grieve in diferent ways and I hope Joey works his way through this at his own pace. I've had my own issues with unresolved grief and I know it's a very destructive thing. His teammates couldn't hit a bull in the butt with a bass fiddle right now so they need him. But some things are more important than sports....... Jeeeez did I just say that????? Oh well. If the Reds end up fighting Pissburgh for that last teat again this year it won't be like we all aren't accustomed to it. Life goes on....
