      How did those fuched in the head socialists get their filibuster-proof majority murf? Did they stage a coup? Its funny how you act like this was imposed upon the medium income people, when actually they were voted in BY the medium income people.
      Its time for us to join the rest of the developed world and take care of our own people. This is a change that is well overdue, and is the right thing top do on a societal level whether one personally "benefits" from it or not. The shift to green technologies is the same deal -- the price of energy is high because of our failure to make hay and develop practical alternatives while the sun was shining. You can thank crooked politicians and lobbyists in the petroleum and auto industries for that. There are periods in the life of every nation when times get a little tougher for the better good. This may be one of those times. The best we can do is try and buffer the blow a bit.
