Once again your arrogance combined with your ignorance has made you into a complete jack azz...but I will lay out some facts for you.

Jerry Rice the so called greatest to ever have played in the NFL...
Did not start his rookie year...
He sat behind a future tight end and a 30 something year old man.

Owens, another future hall of fame player did not start his rookie year.
I believe he had 35 catches for about 500 yards, in a very high powered offense.

Hines Ward, another future Hall of Famer had a very subpar start to his career and it took him to year 4 to become a great wide out, now he was a converted player, but just pointing out the facts.

Of the top wide outs drafted with Tate, the only one that had a mild impact and created some decent numbers would be Dez Bryant.
Thomas/Benn/MCluster/Tate, all have similar story lines.

If you watch football, you would know that few wide outs have major impacts.
Some of recent note...Johnson/Fitzgerald/Johnson and I am hoping Green can become one of those few rare great players in a short span of time.

You also have to look at the system and the team to get an honest look.
Do you think any rookie would have an explosive rookie season in Seattle last year?

Plus, you also fail to understand the context of what the conversation was all about.
A slot reciever such as Ward, is not the same as a number 1 receiver like Johnson from Texas.
So, I believed that we needed a slot receiver b/c we still had a number 1 in the circus clown and they missed on Coles and that 3rd option was a much needed position to fill.
Shipley, filled in perfectly and went in the second round.

So back under the desk, and tell Marvin you love him...

      Taylor Mays:
I am not saying that he is a future hall of fame player or a perfect role player.
I am simply stating that the guy has extreme talent and is about 90X better than Ndukwe/Crocker/Wilson/Murray/Williams or any other hack they have had over the past 5 years.
So, you burn a draft pick, and according to most of you they suck at drafting anyway, so it is a very safe gamble.

If Reggie Nelson is playing as well as they are saying and Mays can play, then you have solved the biggest defensive need they have had since the days of Darryl Williams.
