I would normally agree Draw, but here's the problem.
Mikey is going to downgrade the value of what Carson can net the team (if he ever ends up trading Carson at all). Which ends up hurting the team. Which ends up hurting the players. Which makes the players want to leave anyway. The inmates might not run the asylum then, but the ones that are talented will still eventually flee.
It's too late for Mikey to get what he could have gotten for CP so he'll dig in fastidiously. But if he'd just traded him from the get-go, they could have maxed the value and then the story would have been "Bengals cleaning house and moving forward." Now it's "Bengals standing on principle but they've never won anything with this owner so frankly who gives a $#!+?"
