For someone that calls himself...Bring back Forrest, you should refrain from trying to smack talk about Professional football.
Was I talking about Professional football? Since when did Baylor join the NFL? Did i miss the announcement?
Here it is Murf-- get your facts straight. You know I work a ton, have a big family and do evangelism work here in the Fort Worth area. But before I shout out on here, I at least make sure what I am saying is correct.
The old adage says if you don't know don't speak of it... Best thing you can do is stick a wad of gum in there and chew.
As far as Bring Back Forrest goes, it has to do with me meeting him 25 years ago in North Carolina. I always thought he was a great football player, awesome coach and thoughtful man. I am hoping in the future to get back to the football where we are not embarrassed to be Bengals fans. When I was a teenage in the 70s and lived in the Akron area, I wore my Bengals stuff proudly to school, to Cleveland Stadium, to 3 Rivers Stadium-- I didn't care because I was proud of the legacy of my coaches and the team gave its all. I contrast that with the past 20 years-- I have Bengals stuff in my closet that I won't wear outside of the 4 walls of my home. My office is full of Reds, OSU and Bengals items. I am proud of growing up in Cincinnati. We moved up north when I was 14 but I never left the Bengals. Not saying it was always easy--- and it is difficult now to shed the references to the joke by the river and be called little kitties. The hardest part is listening to Redskin and Cowboy fans talk about their owners with such disdain but when you tell them you are a Bengals fan they look upon you with sympathy-- that is sad.
