The television stations are making millions off the game and at the same time making millions on reporting on stories of concussions and violence in sports. It's not the media directley but culture and society that has accepted the ideolugey that its no longer an individuals fault for their actions but someone elses fault. This has become a fabric in our coulture. I cant tell you how many times any given day someone is sueing someone for their own actions.

Example: I for one smoke at least a pack and a half a day and am greatly aware that my actions could cause me serious harm in the future.
Also, in highschool I played basketball and football and understood the dangers of playing both sports. The players understand also that they play in a dangerous sport and understand that permit injuries or trauma to the brain is a good possibility.

I deal with pain every day from multiple anckle sprains and a broken ankle from basketball. I'm not alone for the most part anyone who has played a sport has some sort of injury that nags them to this day. Everyone however understands the risk associated with sports and have no right to then turn around and sue the league for risks they volunteered to take.

The media only reports on stories that american society want to hear about. Thats their job in order to get ratings and more comercials and sponsors for the network. To blaime the media was a bad choice of words. Instead I blame society in having a belief that individuals are no longer responsible for their own actions.

Whether Seau had brain trauma, depression or whatever. The fact of the matter is only he is to blame for taking his own life. NOT THE NFL!!
