From Bengals.com

"After making a pitch to his head coach for wide receiver Laveraneus Coles over the weekend, Palmer then made his own throw to the long-time Jet to fill the void left by T.J. Houshmandzadeh's departure with another big-time wide receiver. Palmer got his man for the next four years in a deal that was announced Wednesday.

"I told him to just give us a chance," Palmer said. "There's so much negativity about (the Bengals) out there. We may not have a private plane or an indoor facility, but there is no other place you'd rather be when you're winning, and when guys do come visit here they're always surprised.

"Our fans are great because they stick by us when we lose, but the feeling here when you're winning is special. He gives us a chance to get there with our young receivers and I'm just glad we've got him."

LOL - we will fly you into Florence on a puddle jumper and we lose a lot...

"....the feeling here when you're winning is special." - Carson Palmer (?)

LOL! Uh, cause it's so rare, Carson?! The sheople don't care about winning, and neither does the sheep master!

You really think LC signed because of this? HAHAHAHAHAHA! It's NUTTI'er than I thought. Carson has gone insane.

Why so many words, Carson?

What you were really trying to say was:

"Helllllppppppppppp meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!"

oh god this article made me want to puke...

how deprived and blind can a person be to the reality of the Bengals organization?

or, more bluntly...how stupid is Marvin? bitter? of course...T.J. is a heck of a lot better than Coles, and you can't base anything off of the Bengals offensive numbers last year least compare them to other teams. Coles had Brett Favre throwing to him, T.J. had Crazy Legs. It is a true american accomplishment to put up the numbers T.J. did (I had him on the fantasy squad and he produced somehow) with the futility surrounding him...

i guess he will find out soon when they only rattle in 5-6 wins next year (that is thinking positive as a bungal fan)...but its all a process, right?

Coles signing was a ploy to satisfy the many sheep (carson, this includes you) out there who were crying over the loss of T.J. - nothing else...
his career is on the downward spiral, many teams knew this along with himself, and that is why he jumped the bit when MB offering him 7 mil a year. a horrible signing...a la sam adams, dexter jackson, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.....going young is one thing, and I had thought that was the approach after drafting the WR's early last draft...but this??? i am numb to it all...

T.J. will be in the Hawaii at the end of the season (regardless of Seattle's W-L record)
Coles will take a step backward from his production in '08, for many reasons we all are well accustomed with since 1990, and if he's lucky will last 2 years in the Queen City.

the ONLY, i mean ONLY reason i would applaud the signing would be getting rid of C.J. for a draft pick or two in the near future...BUT, that would require a hit in jersey sales, and ticket sales, and publicity.........and from what i've been told they are thinking on bringing back e-check, so mikey needs some money to make sure the lumina is good to go.
