I say 8-8 give or take a game. I chalk this up to a weak schedule. Mike will finish middle of the pack just like he likes - high enough to give the sheople hope and avoid making changes and low enough to avoid the playoffs.

Lambeau Field

"I am kicking around the idea of going to the game at Lambeau Field."
Bronco, late September in Green Bay can easily yield perfect football (spectating) weather. Low 60's, give or take. If you ever go, this would be the time. And the Bengals should still be contention!
It looks like I'll get to go. I'm thrilled with the scheduling. Any other MBS'ers thinking of going?

Too bad the Bengals suck against first year head coaches since they drew 5 of them -- Schwartz, Cable, McDaniels, Haley and Mangina -- and playoff teams since they play SD, Pitt X2, Baltimore X2 and Minnesota.
So that's already like 11 losses. 4-11-1 anybody?

This year, I'm going to hold judgment until after pre-season before making full predictions, but my gut is telling me 7-9. Nothing about the order of the games or schedule sticks out. Wasn't surprised at all that the team received no nighttime billing.

Draft

I am going to wait till after the draft. Imagine if we did trade for Shaun Rogers (The Browns D Tackle). We got rid of Thorton last year and got Tank this year. We would be feeling alot better about our d line now and would not have spent a lot of money.

I have 3-13, barring what happens in this offseason and the draft--and I think I'm being nice. I actually have them losing to Detroit. I don't know why--but I don't think an NFL team can actually lose 32 Games in a row, can they?

Although it's before the draft and the second round of free agency and camp, but here's a stab at it:
1 Sep 13 DEN @ CIN WIN (just a hunch)
2 Sep 20 CIN @ GB LOSS
3 Sep 27 PIT @ CIN LOSS (BIG!)
4 Oct 04 CIN @ CLE WIN
5 Oct 11 CIN @ BAL LOSS
6 Oct 18 HOU @ CIN LOSS
7 Oct 25 CHI @ CIN LOSS
8 Bye
9 Nov 08 BAL @ CIN WIN (upset victory here...the Ravens won't be quite as good)
10 Nov 15 CIN @ PIT LOSS
11 Nov 22 CIN @ OAK WIN (any loss to Oakland is shameful, home or away)
12 Nov 29 CLE @ CIN LOSS
13 Dec 06 DET @ CIN WIN (game of the year! LOL)
14 Dec 13 CIN @ MIN LOSS (AP runs for 250+ here!)
15 Dec 20 CIN @ SD LOSS (Norv/Chargers have not lost a game in December yet)
16 Dec 27 KC @ CIN WIN
17 Jan 03 CIN @ NYJ LOSS (a win would please the Sheople though)
6-10 feels about right
The Bengals WILL lose to: Steelers (X2), Packers, Bears, Vikings, and Chargers.
The Bungs will likely lose to: Broncos, Ravens (at least once), Texans, and Jets.
The 'true toss-ups' are the 2 Browns games and the Chiefs game
The Bungs will be favored vs. the Raiders and Lions

Pyshco, Bronco, I am seriously thinking of another weekend jaunt across the pond to watch the Mighty Bengals, and the idea of an away game could be brilliant (although they are all 'away' games from over here!)
Just need to convince Mrs UK that the household budget will stretch (which means letting her go and buy lots of shoes and handbags)
I am working on a big deal with work and this could be the incentive I need!
Let me know when you will have to make your decision by.
New season, hope springs eternal!!!

UK, will do!
Lambeau Field is the quasi-Mecca of American Football Stadiums. I should know my plans in a month or so. Considering the Bungs only play there like once a decade, it seems appropriate to go this year!
On a side not, how about Arsenal? They destroyed VillaReal!

Looks like I'm as good as there. One of my brothers in-law has a Green Bay season ticket package of two games per year. He invited me to go if the Bengals game happened to be one of them, and thankfully that's the way it worked out.
Hope to see you guys there. Hmmm... maybe I should buy one of those MikeBrownSucks.com T-shirts...

sigh, if you watch the highlights Big Willie is dominating. As much as it pains me to say it a motivated Andre Smith and a second round center seem like the best hope.
This team never recovered first from the loss of Braham, and second from the loss of Willie Anderson. I would say cutting Willie right before the season was one of the main reasons and a very underrated reason why this team sucked last year. Andre Smith at RT and Collins at LT could be the new Levi and Willie, and a good center will be there in the 2nd. Another RB in the late 3d or 4th? This team did finish dead last on offense, should this be an offensive draft?
