....why doesn't the governor give back the billions the Feds gave Texas then??
So you are saying that they should refuse the money the the gov took from them in the first place? Thats the problem, people see gov paying for stuff think its great but can't understand that its our money they are using.
OK, you and Joe are at a bar, and Joe just took $50 bucks out of your wallet but bought you a couple beers. You would think that Joe is a swell guy.

Oh..and ifme and Joe are at the Bar with 50 people and Jo says... lets all put our money in the hat and buy pitches instead of individual beers cause it is cheaper and eveyone puts there money in the hat... joe would get a pat on the back... then later, if the bar has happy hour and individual beers get cheeper than pitchers, then some folks go and talk amongst themselves and say... gee this isn't the best system..they are just whining... on the other hand, if they say hey Jo... me and 30 other people don't want our money spent on pitchers anymore... well then they'd be heard.

I think you misunderstood my post.
I am still looking for one person that calls another "racist" for disagreeing with Obama.
I know you righties are playing the victims as much as you can right now and you keep pointing the finger at all these people who claim you are "racist", but the finger is never pointed at a specific person - no one has been identified as specifically calling people racists just because they disagree with Obama.
Take the board on MBS. I dont think I have ever seen BA, Belko, or myself ever label anyone as racist MERELY BECAUSE they disagreed with a particular Obama policy. Murf and Homey have been labeled as racists, but that predates Obama by years...

No its the Neo-con way.....you know the neo-conservative way. It's the term liberals gave to those people who claim to be conservative republicans who push for or get tax cuts, but then they spend like liberal democrats. Some examples these famous republican neo-cons are George Bush, John McCain, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Susan Collins, Olympia Snowe and Arlen Specter. A true conservative republican would stand by his principle of smaller government, tax cuts, cutting spending and balancing the budget together as a package deal.

I suspect that no one of consequence, and most likely no one at all, has called Angie a racist. Most likely she's frustrated that she's been ignored and trivialized, and the victimizing tone of her remarks is attempt to feel important by seeking pity.
How pathetic.

I agree that states' rights have been eroded over the years by BOTH parties. There is a reason that the 10th amendment is considered the "forgotten amendment."
But, the Constitution is writtten in intentionally vague language and was intended to be a living document. Right-wingers seem to miss this finer point when they call for a "return to Constitutional government." It's not that simple.
For example, the Constitution has what is known as the "necessary and proper clause." Look it up, it basically says that the federal government (in this case, Congress, I believe) can do what is "necessary and proper" for the country in addition to powers specifically granted them.
What the hell is necessary and proper for the federal government? I don't know, and I think you would get as many answers to that as people you asked.
Personally, I think the 10th amendment is a stern warning to the federal government not to overstep their bounds and not to put their nose in business that doesn't affect them. But so many clauses in the Constitution are open to interpretation that it can be hard to say.
That kind of flexibility is a great attribute of the Constitution and is part of the reason it has been able to endure for so long under changing circumstance, but it sure can be annoying too when the federal government is using tax money to leverage states into capitulating to some stupid or useless federal program.

LMFAO!

Nice Job Mr. Christian...so Christian, that he did not want to offend anyone so he had everything blocked off by painted plywood.
Riddle me this batman...if you are so worried about the backdrop, then why go to a Catholic University to talk?
Why not just hang out in Berkley where you belong?
This man is making Bush look good...of course, you will never hear that on the news or read it here on the local liberal board, but lets face it, he is failing big time.
The economy is only going to get worst.
The enemy is laughing at him, the puss bag Frenchies think he is weak millitary leader and the small little Central American drug lords are mocking him, by inviting Russia and Iran to join them in millitary operations...
What do we get?
A bunch of bullsh!t liberal programs, that only will create more debt, less security and more gov't.
Great job America...you elected the first female President...Nancy Barrack Huesien Obama Pelsoi.
Little scum bag cowards in Africa are punking us, Chavez is calling us out daily...where is our millitary leaders?
Thats right obama is pimpin his liberal blank checks, Hillary is doing what?, anyone?

He was sopposed to unify the world, but failed to gain any help at the U.N..
I guess when he walked on water during his campaign, it was plywood just beneath the surfice.

Actually, unemplyment went down the last two weeks. The stock market has been going up as of late and the majority of people in this country approve of the job he is doing. Throw in the Pirate thing where he approved the operation and the fact the man has only been in office for a little over 3 months, I think he is doing a commendable job.

You're right murf. Remember also that Americans will never elect muslim Obama, oh wait they did, but only the college kids and blacks. And of course Palin was a brilliant choice as you mentioned previously.
Somehow, you think that what you wish to be true is true. There is no evidence to support anything that you have said here. It's all conservative blustering. You want him to fail so badly like Bush did, you've convinced yourself its already happened.

--Murf, you dumb fukker, you were the one that SO BOLDY claimed the economy is getting worse. I brought up a couple of indicators (unemployment, stocks) that contradict your point. What do you do? You saracastically say Obama cant take credit for those, but at the same time, he is to blame for the economy. HYPOCRIT? HELLO? You cant have it both ways, bro. Just like you always say about Mike Brown, if you criticize him when something goes wrong, you have to praise him when he does well.
-- When you say the "only people who approve of what he is doing are the liberal idiots", I guess you mean the 60+ percent of the polling population. And guess what, Murf? That is 60+ percent ona Fox News Poll (uh, oh, Murf got caught in a lie/exaggeration). Check it out - www.foxnews.com - look in the lower right of the home page. Come back and apologize when you are willing to admit you are wrong.
-- Regarding the operation, why did EVERY SINGLE (even Fox News) media outlets say the President approved the operation before it happened. Did your boy Cunningham tell you on the ride top work that it was false? LOL
-- Unfortunately, what you fail to grasp (and I doubt you will ever really grasp this) is that if we had not done the bailouts and the stimulus packages, we would be in a depression right now. I hope to God at some point you begin to understand what would have happened to the financial markets in this country had we let AIG and Citigroup fail. Better yet, ask any person with a PhD in economics degree. Ask them what would have happened. I hope you understand those guys know more than Rush, Hannity or your beloved Cunningham.
-- As far as the military is concerned, I can only assume you are referring to the insurance idea a month or so ago. To be honest, it would not have been as bad as FOXNEWS and Cunningham made it out to be. It actually (wait for it)............ would have reduced Government spending....How's that you ask? Well, I will tell you. It would have made soldiers that had private insurance health care (other than the government) have to pay for their care instead of the government and....here is another kicker....the private isnurance companies would not be able to raise premiums on the soldiers for providing that coverage or change who their doctors were. However, the lobbysists for the insurance companies (i.e. the worst fukking people on the planet) were able to make a public outcry about the government turning their back on the soldiers (total B.S.).
Nice to see you and so many others were persuaded by the insurance companies' lobby (again)...LOL

You know the guy---- WIllie, Rush, and Sean have his poster above their beds and whack off to it every night. They will tell you he is the conservative god.
