Darren's friends in Durham, NC are involved in a fund raiser for Duke Hospital and specifically the Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Clinic where Darren was treated. For more information go to www.angelsamongus.org. The team walking to honor Darren is called "A Different Drummer". You can if you wish go to "Donate" and make a donation to honor Darren or Dunn's memory. The walk will take place on April 25th. There will be a Wall of Honor at the end of the walk with pictures and momentos of those being honored and remembered.
At the opening day of the Durham Bulls' game they honored Darren's memory there too. He always stood behind home plate.
If you do choose to make a donation to a worthy cause you can do it on line in time for the walk. They transfer you to a secure site for your credit or debit card number.
At the bottom of the site you will see a picture of four people receiving a check from last years'
walk. The man with the mustache is Dr. Alan Friedman who was Darren's neuro-surgeon and who also operated on Sen Ted Kennedy.
I know the economy is not good and money is not free flowing so it does not have to be a large amount of money. A few dollars would be great. Darren would be so pleased and amazed at what his friends have done to remember him.
I sure do miss him.

I am very broke right now (in other words, counting debts, negative money right now), but would most certainly make a donation in a coordinated effort.
Maybe for the like the next month any mbs.com sales benefit this? I dont't know Fraidy, and get the impression he hardly does this for money, but this seems doable, yes?

Thanks for posting. I am heavily involved in Walk For Life West Coast and I will gladly make a donation in the name of Dunn4QB aka A Different Drummer.
Blessings to your family.

Thanks for giving a more inclusive website to make it easier for mbs folks to donate. It does later take you to a secure website to take your credit or debit card information.
To anyone who is donating thanks so much for thinking of Darren and for those who are less fortunate and if you don't have any extra cash right now, not to worry there is always next year.
