Is anyone going to be attending the last mini-camp practice at Paul Brown Stadium tomorrow? Its free, and open to the public, and even.... free parking...
I'll be up there with a couple of my friends who also share the same sentiment....
Cautiously optimistic about what's going on, and what we are hearing from training camp... and i'll take what I can get for free from MikeHole.
I'll be up at Molly Malone's in Covington at 8:45ish for a Bloody Mary.
Murf, Storm???? Bronco??? hahaha....... Right

They look fast.
Caldwell and Coles looked pretty good.
Carson looked back to normal and Chad looked like he was having fun again.
I loved watching #58----new name Cinco Oucho!
He is fast!
3 times he shot the gap and was standing there at the point of attack.
Then watched him fake blitz, then drop back and cover a TE.
The new TE has some soft hands.
I think they got a flat out steal with the Tailback....very quick, and explosive..
Micheal Johnson the DE from GTech, knocked down several passes...
It was worth the time to sit and watch...

It is so predictably funny.
Murf gave us preseason Sheep reports last year about how sharp the Bungs looked. When second stringers go against third stringers, someone is always going to look good. It wouldn't surprise me if that's not the case once again this year, despite the Sheepish flattery and excitement.
Sheep keep Mikey in business. Sheep herding has been an easy chore.

Whatever idiot.
You fail to understand football.
you are a typical idiot Bengal fan.
Watch a few plays here and there and talk about the game like you understand it, unless they are winning, then you run and put on your Bengal jersey, (the only football jeresy you have ever worn), and then you scream and cheer like a 10 year old little girl.
Who had a better offseason than the Bengals?
Who has a better offense than the Bengals?
Who upgraded thier defense better than the Bengals?
Did you go to the practice?
Have you sever seen a real NFL practice live?
Have you ever seen any type of football practice live past the 6th grade?
Do you understand anything about speed, playing fast, or understanding the reasons why a play failed?
I didn't think so, now go put on your part time Barney outfit, put your 1 bullet in your pocket and drive your citizens on patrol car around the cornfields.

Who has a better offense than the Bengals Murf? You couldn't have asked a more perfect question to illustrate what a pathetic Sheep you are.
The Bungs sucked at offense last year. Their offensive line was about the worst in the MFL, and now is even less experienced. They also lost their best performing skill player from a year ago.
It would take a major and remarkable improvement to get them to average. I hope you don't sniff in your panties as you agonize over reality.
All last year, you whined that the personnel were good and it was just flukes, attitude and coaching that caused them to lose. Now you don't even seem to be embarrassed that they have overhauled a very large part of the roster.
That's not wurprising. Analysis has never been your style, much less an awareness of your flaming sense of irony.
Yes, Murf. They are great athletes by every day standards. Every team has great athletes by every day standards.
You are so love struck by Sheep love, you just can't comprehend what the entire NFL is.

So, I count 5 new vets, and 3 will start.
Tank/Coles/Williams.
So in your mind, this is a complete overhaul of the roster?
The rookies are just that, Rookies..some will shine early, others will be on the roster and take some time to develope.
Rey, and Smith will both be starting if they sign and get into camp.
The foundation of the roster, is the same foundation they had last year.
Of course they upgraded a few spots with Tank/Coles, but that is 2, Roy Williams is a huge freeagent deal, not so much in talent, but as leadership.
Smith taking over for Collins, I am not sold on that yet, but we will see.
Cook upgrade from Guycheck, but he was here last year and was hurt, Cook would have been the center last year if healthy.
So once again, your stupidity shines bright.

I think there's something wrong with murf's brain that prevents him from learning from experience. Every frickin' year the guy gets a boner over the Bengals draft and training camp, only to be ridiculed later for his homerism. You would think just once after 20 years he would approach the season with at least a minimum level of caution, but no.

Yes, Murf, after reading all your gushing about the draft, even I was counting on a lot of new starters. But it might very well be that we're still stuck with the same assortment of second stringers as the last few years.
Which, again, makes the point of what a ridiculous sheep you are.

Why do you even follow the team?
You cried for some freeagent help ...they got it.
You cried for a great draft....they got it.
You cried for Line help....they got it.
So in your mind, no matter what they do, you will still wake up every day of your life and hate Mike Brown and look for any reason to degrade the team...untill they start winning some games, then it becomes a fluke b/c nothing can erase the last 20 years.
I just don't understand why you would want to follow a team, that gives you pleasure, when things fail.
To me, that is flat out stupid.
Each year is a new year and I enjoy the build up of the new year, I enjoy watching the games, even when I get frustrated when they fail, but each week, I look forward to sundays..
you can try and blast fans for wanting them to win, but in all honesty, you just look stupid.
Follow the Browns..or whoever is winning that year.
I am ready for training camp to open up...got my DVR ready to set up and record the Hardknocks program and i plan on going down to camp a few times this year.
Continue your hate...live life bitter and just be a drain on a society..Whatever gets you threw the day.

The only hate I sense is coming from you, when you get your sheep suit exposed once again.
There is absolutely nothing about the Bungles that I hate. They are undeniably a story of incompetence from a football sense, but brilliance from a manipulating-the-Sheep sense. That all adds up to a fascinating spectacle to observe.
The Bungs under Mike Brown have been perpetually and predictably overmatched by talent. The Sheep, such as yourself, have been perpetually and predictably crazed with your lack of analysis and fawning denial of the obvious.
You are the Sheep Poster Boy, or maybe Poster Girl.

Murf, you mistake your foaming-at-the-mouth hissy fits as some sort of debating tactics. They are not. They only expose you as the Sheepish buffoon that you are.
What are these ghost questions that you refer to?
Why do I come in here? Because the site is called Mike Browm Sucks. It's a comical and recreational place to celebrate Mikey's failures and to laugh at the Sheep that support him, such as yourself.
I guess you did ask the rhetorical question about "Who has a better offense than the Bengals?" But I was giving even you the benefit of the doubt that you were not focused and not genuine with that crazy question.
But maybe you are just that short-buss challenged. The Bungs had no offensive line last year. So they sucked, with or without Carson.
In fact, the beating Carson took for the last few years because of the decayed offensive line explains a lot of last year's injuries.
Murf, you pout and you most likely sit down to pee. But you'll never be in a position to order anyone to "leave."
You're a comical Mikey homer. That's ok. There's a lot like you in Cincinnati. You Sheep have helped make Bungle-watching such a comical form of recreation for almost two decades.
I've got to say, it's curious why a Mikey homer would want to post on here. It should be obvious by now that you are almost, if not completely, universally ridiculed for your thinly-veiled attempts to defend Mikey's stewarship.

~~~~~~~~~~
My lord, do you guys watch football, or even understand what you are watching if you do watch a game?
Carson had no help from your beloved TJ or Chad, they both failed to be pros and show up for workouts and then missed the entire camps.
He also played in a Hurricane.
He had 2 lineman, that failed to be pros.
The same line you claim was a decaying line for years, gave up very few sacks the year before and Willy even stated that, he was out of shape to the point that he could not do his job and the Ravens talked about how he was out of shape in Cincy, but got into shape in Baltimore.
Carson had a tailback that was not even close to knowing the playbook.
Plus he was hurt in the last 2 games...
Yet, you say that Carson was nothing in the first 4 games....lol.
~~~~~~~~
Barney...have your mom or someone read the conversation to you...who said anything about not comming on this site?
I said, you are not a Bengal fan, I said nothing about this site.
I never said that you should not come on this site, I just stated that, your little school girl complaints, point to the fact that you don't enjoy the Bengals, you simple hate them, so why follow them?
I hate Cleveland, and enjoy thier failures...in your twisted mind set, that would make me a Clowns fan.
As for the offense.....
They have mroe talent ont he roster than any other roster in the NFL.
I was on Brat last year, but there was a reason for his play calling....
Injuries, rookies, and Rain man playing qb.
He was the top rated guy when they went 11-5...when he had weapons.

He may have had weapons in 2005, but they also had a cupcake schedule (similar to this year).
Murf, I like Carson toom but the Carson critics have valid points. He has failed numerous times to bring this team back in the 4th quarter. He has failed to properly dump the ball of to the TE's and the backs when Chad and TJ are not open.
Bottom line, he is a talented guy, but he has not played like the Favre/Montana/Elway/Manning we expected.
Thos guys had days when their teammates took days off and they still willed their teams to win games. We havent seen a lot of that from Carson yet.

On the one hand, Murf acknowledges that the Bungs had two non-NFL linemen on the team. Then he turns right around and proclaims the Sheepish mantra that the Bungs have the best offensive personnel in football.
Unless insanity is a defense, incoherent ramblings like that stand as legitimate probable cause to make an OVI arrest.
Carson's numbers went down steadily since that flukey 2005 year, Mr. Sheepster. And I even agree more with you than with Bronco about Carson. I think he absolutely is a blue chip quarterback.
But Mikey let the program decay all around him. The Bungs had very few offensive players that could start for other teams. One of them, TJ, has since left.
So Carson was battered relentlessly for the last few years. It was predictable and regrettable. I wish, for his sake, that he could have gotten out of this Sheepish hellhole while still in the prime of his career.
It worked for Corey Dillon. Carson deserved the same chance. He still does.

"As for the offense.....
They have mroe talent ont he roster than any other roster in the NFL."
Murf, you really must be absolutely delusional to post such an indefensible statement for the world to see.
Let's take the low-hanging fruit here: The New England Patriots.
Let's see: Brady v. Carson? Like Carson, but c'mon, no brainer.
WRs: Moss, Welker and Tory Holt v. Ochopsycho, Coles and Henry. Hey, we got great WRs, it is easily our best position. Still, better than the 3 pro-bowlers on NE? Nope.
TE: Watson or Kelly/Utecht? Easy. Watson. He is built like Kelly with the soft hands of Utecht. I would much rather have both in one guy, sense it makes his on-field presence much less of a tip-off to opposing defenses.
RB: Fred Taylor and Lawrence Maroney v. Cedric Benson and Brian Leonard. Another no brainer, go with the HOFer and the RB that has already won a SB over the guy who averaged 3.5 ypc last year and the scat back.
O-Line: Probably the easiest one, though ranking Brady over any other current QB is pretty easy. Still, this is a proven vet O-Line that has played together for years making deep playoff runs and has mutliple pro-bowlers. Our O-Line has no pro-bowlers, one rookie starting, and a center with 0 NFL snaps on his bio.
The comparison is like a candle to the Sun.
Murf, please wager me that the Bungs will average more yards, points, or anything else than the Patriots. Time of possession, I don't care. The Pats are clearly the superior offense.

Let's see: Brady v. Carson? Like Carson, but c'mon, no brainer.
Of Course Brady has had a better system and foundation of players around him on both sides of the ball.
I think Brady is great, but I think Carson has the skills to be as good as anyone in the league.
I will give you Brady for the sake of debate...
Patriots
WRs: Moss, Welker and Tory Holt v. Ochopsycho, Coles and Henry. Hey, we got great WRs, it is easily our best position. Still, better than the 3 pro-bowlers on NE? Nope.
Moss vs Chad? Close race, Moss has a slight advantage, Coles and Henry and Caldwell....all better than Welker and Holt is about 90, and has done what lately?
Bengals
TE: Watson or Kelly/Utecht? ---Toss up here, Utecht was hurt last year, and Watson is nothing special. Coffman is going to be a huge goalline threat.
Bengals
RB: Fred Taylor and Lawrence Maroney v. Cedric Benson and Brian Leonard.
Taylor is old, Maroney is decent, but would rather have Benson, Leonard? I don't know, but lets not forget, the Bengals have a very special back named Scott...don't be shocked when he starts getting touches on 3rd downs...the kid has the skill to be a Willie Parker type.
Bengals
O-Line: Probably the easiest one...I can't argue over the talent of the Patriots line, it is getting older and they did not play that great last year. I don't care about Probowlers...seriously, we are using the Probowl?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I don't care about probowls, to me that is a joke, it is nothing more than a popularity contest and Mike Vick proved that year after year.
I see the Bengals as having more talent than they did in 05', when they were a top team on offense.
Palmer is better and has alot more talent to work with.
The Scott kid has the talent to be something special and he gives them that option of swinging the guy out of the backfield and keeping a linebacker from blitzing, giving Carson more time to find one of the 4 talented wideouts.
The line was young and injured last year, they are in great shape compared to last year and let us not forget, we had a new tailback, a rainman at qb and 2 crying wideouts.
So comparing last year to this year, is silly to me.
I think the Steelers are the team to beat again this year, but the Bengals are going to be 100% better than last year.
I don't care how much you hate Mike Brown or the Bengals, I am hyped for this year.
Be bitter, live life in a failed state of mind, I don't care...they have the talent to play with anyone at any time, if they stay healthy.
I am excited or shall I say cautiously optimistic this year, but I dont forgive abnd forget for what has happened the last 20 years.
I root for the players, the team, but not for Mike, Katie and Troy. That will never happen until they start to win CONSISTENTLY and put a good product on the field.
I'd put myself in a slightly weirder category, which is "slightly pessmistic."
Meaning that I don't expect a good year even if I did like a lot of the things the team did. These things spring into my mind instantly:
1) History teaches us Mike Brown fails.
2) Andre Smith has trouble written all over him.
3) There are too many players on this team who hold the "great promise but what if ___________ happens" tag. Carson Palmer could be the great savior but he's been seriously injured twice. Chad could be a fantastic WR but he's flaked out on us already and we still have no reason to believe he really wants to be in Cincy. Not to mention the copious players that look like arrests waiting to happen.
It kind of reminds me of how Toronto Blue Jays seasons have gone in years past. Critics would go "the Jays could have a good year this year if everything falls into place." I took that to mean "the only way the Jays will contend is if NOBODY gets injured because this team has no depth." And of course, a pitcher and a key position player would get injured and that would be the end of it. The Yankees and Red Sox would get injuries and have the depth to back it up.
So sure, if Andre doesn't hold out and play to his potential and if all of our reformed players are really reformed and if Carson is healthy and if Chad really wants to play in Cincy, this really could be a heckuva surprising team. That's a lot of "ifs."
Don't have an argument with any part of your reasoned analysis, BM. But to add to it:
Even if all those "ifs" fall out on the positive side, the Bungs still go into the season with at least three offensive linemen that haven't proved they can play in the NFL. Even if Carson doesn't get killed again, it's going to be a compromised season if he's forced to through early and off target, like two seasons ago.
And who is going to be their pass rusher? Robert Geathers has certainly been exposed to all but the most Sheepish. Maybe the third rounder will be a rusher. But again, that's going to be a fortunate development. He hasn't proven that he "can" do it yet.
Did they improve? Most probably. They had to. They were so blasted overmatched on talent last year. They could throw darts at a board and improve.
Did they improve to be a force? That's a stretch. Too many ifs and too many question marks.
I remember speculating in the last preseason that Marvin should win coach of the year honors in the Bungs won more than six games last season. I'll set that benchmark up to seven wins for next season.
