Just wondering why some of you have ignored the Gates story?
LOL!
Your leader, got away with, yet another racial hickup and the media has tried to twist it around.
Another close friend of the Presidents, makes a racial issue and the media does nothing with it....
Classic.
I was not going to comment on this story, untill I heard our President, the official leading officer of law, degrade a police officer on national TV...and when he started his little elitist comment...(something he does often,) he stated several things wrong...and the media did nothing about it...twist and polish...twist and polish...
Lets start with the obvious ...
Gates could have just handed the officer his ID and thanked the officer for checking on his house and the story ends there.
He decided to use that moment in time to scream and shout and act like a 3 year old.
Money could be had....so of course, the cops are racist.
Racial Profiling...the topic the President of the United States, wanted to comment on, is not even in the same story...you can't call it profiling, when the cops are responding to a call to that house...if you profile, (a practice I believe works), you attempt to stop someone b/c they look a certain way...anyway...this was not the case.
Staying with the profiling theme...if you look up the Justice dept. numbers...there is no such thing as racial profiling.
speaking in numbers...whites are pulled over more than blacks...
Shocking I know, b/c the Rhymin Revs and media want to tell you everyday of your life that black people are pulled over more than whites, just b/c they are black... in real life, not even close to being true.
In Cincinnati the black population is 43-47% depending on what numbers you look up...68% of all violent crime is commited by black men.
The white population is around 26%...the number of citations and people being pulled over that are white, is larger than number of black people....
Liberals hate facts..it kills thier mood and stops a good lawsuit.
My problem with the entire story is of course the reporting of the story and the non reporting of our President running his mouth off without the facts of the story and calling the cop stupid for doing his job, then turning around and claiming that racial profiling is a big problem in this country.
So he set up the question to be asked...then failed to even get the basic concept of the story correct, then played the race card on a non racial issue..
Now he wants to invite both people to the White House and drink a beer with them and let them shake hands and hug.
What a fuching joke!
The cop should tell Obama to get fuched, and then tell Gates to get fuched.
Gates is a known racist, and plays the race card whenever he has the chance...another racist friend of the Presidents...
I am glad the cop has balls and told Gates, he will never apologize for doing his job...
(I think he will cower and make some type of apology...but he should not even meet with the aszbag.)
Anyway...this is just par for the course....
Show me a racist Ryhmin Rev and I will show you a friend of the great one...
Racist Rhymin Rev Wright
Racist Rhymin Rev Sharpton
Racist Rhymin Rev Jackson
Racist Rhymin Rev King
Profes. Gates...don't know if he got his box of cereal degree in Rhymin Rev yet or not...don't care either....
~~~~~~BA---breath...relax and count to 10...
I would like to know what Dewey Trooper thinks about his messiah tossing the cop under the bus is...
Did Murf just call Martin Luther King racist? Wow, that was all I need to know about his philosophy on race relations.
By the way, president's comment was stupid, not the cop, but sense it has no bearing on anything I don't really care.
Gates seems like a blowhard, though I liked his show African American Lives, that doesn't make him beyond criticism. I think he overreacted to a cop doing his job.
Worse part of it is Gates acts like he is the victim of the same treatment as poor blacks. C'mon. Read an op-ed by another black scholar, Dr. Boykins, whose father was a police officer for 28 years. It was a good op-ed, he basically said get over yourself Dr. gates and that America (almost a direct quote) was far more capitalist today than racist and that a poor white man would likely be treated far worse than a black man of Gates' stature. Would have to agree with that. Funny that this arrest, which was dismissed most assuredly because of preferential treatment of Gates due both to his status and his race, makes him feel like he now has some kind of street cred or further understanding of how ordinary black citizens struggle. Give me a break, dude didn't even have to appear in court and got an immediate and personal apology from the mayor and the freakin' governor within a day. Gee, he sure is oppressed. I bet all black people are wishing they could be oppressed like him.
Cinci---No, I did not say anything about Martin Luther King...I said his son, he has made typical Rhymin Rev comments and is in bed with the Chicago political Mafia group that Obama was protected by.
BA--Yeah, I know, I am the only person in America that has an opinion on it...lol.
Plus, it was just another loud mouth blow hard screaming for attention, untill the President of the United States decided to jump into the mix on national tv and show some of his true colors.
As with Rev Wright...you got a little taste of that before he was elected and the media tried to twist it up and people ignored it.
If you can't see this as a problem, then you simply are refusing to see it.
The media hounds people 24/7 on the dumbest things...yet, when you have the President, comment on a story and he gets the entire thing wrong and adds his own flavor of the race card in there, the media ignores it.
Mix that in with his background of friends who are racist and were are too just ignore it?
Typical!
As a matter of fact, I did cringe when I heard Obama make the "act stupidly" remark. But there's some other facts that once again discredit Murf:
I heard the remark, in extensive media coverage, print and electronic, clearly and often, from shortly after he said it until now. To suggest that the media is downplaying it is, from Murf, another example of predictable looney rage.
There's a whole lot to this story that's bad luck for all parties. It was the professor's house and the police arrived lawfully, with probable cause, because of a mistaken neighbor.
I shake my head why an educated man, like the professor, couldn't put himself in the police officer's shoes. You wouldn't expect rational reaction from the Murf's of the world, who no doubt would be crying like bitches because of rights that they can't even spell or pronounce.
This guy didn't have that excuse. Why he couldn't let his intellect overwhelm his knee jerk emotions is disgusting. I understand the stimulus his sorry reaction gives to the genuine racists among us.
Regarding the cop, I don't know how the disorderly conduct elements are written in his state, but I can understand how Ohio prosecutors would refuse to prosecute the case. There was no public annoyance and the professor wasn't publicly putting himself in danger....like a drunk staggering down a street screaming what victim of reverse racism he is.
However, the police were there to do a job and, from the accounts that have been reported in such detail, the professor's conduct was delaying their investigation, according to the pubished police reports.
That brings a more serious infraction to the table that I haven't heard anyone on any side yet discuss: Obstruction. If a cop or fireman is doing his or her lawful job in this state, and you do or say anything to impede that progress, you're vulnerable to this charge:
2921.31 Obstructing official business.
(A) No person, without privilege to do so and with purpose to prevent, obstruct, or delay the performance by a public official of any authorized act within the public officials official capacity, shall do any act that hampers or impedes a public official in the performance of the public officials lawful duties.
(B) Whoever violates this section is guilty of obstructing official business. Except as otherwise provided in this division, obstructing official business is a misdemeanor of the second degree. If a violation of this section creates a risk of physical harm to any person, obstructing official business is a felony of the fifth degree.
Effective Date: 03-10-2000
I'd be surprised if similar language for a similar charge doesn't exist in all states. A prosecutor in Ohio could make this one stick. But disorderly conduct? I wouldn't call it stupid, but it was a bizaare charge and no doubt unwinnable. I don't blame the local prosecutor for walking away from it.
I'd like to think that the officer could ignore the crazed allegations from this emotionally twisted professor. I'd like to think the professor could rationalize the entire situation better, and not scream victimhood like a pigmented Murf.
Regardless, though, to suggest that this whole story, with the vulnerabilities on both sides, hasn't been transparently reported is yet one more innacurate distortion that comes very close to one more lie.
As many of you know, I am an Obama fan, and I will stand behind him on most issues. This is not one of those issues. I think he jumped the gun defending a friend (Lord knows we have all done that before).
However, this article lays out an argument that I think has not received enough press. How vague and overbroad are the statutes regarding "disorderly conduct".
Bronco, it's absolutely preached in Police Academies to all cadets: Be prepared to be called every kind of vile, profane and vulgar term know to the English language, and ignore it.
It's also preached to cadets that a certain percentage of officers fail this test.
I'm still uneasy that Obama would comment with such vigor about the situation without all the facts. And I find it curious that no audio has surfaced. I guarantee that if a Warren County officer or deputy was investigating a burglary call, his body mike would be activated.
Nevertheless, if the prof was on a knee-jerk, emotional rant about racial victimhood, and was merely insulting the officers, not physically stopping them from sweeping the house, he should have been ignored.
I'm not going to defend Obama for his rhetoric, but the prosecutor's refusal to accept the charges is a pretty strong testament that there was some legal and moral relevance to his position.
Of course they had to cover, the Leading Law Official in this country, tossed one of his own, under the bus to cover for a racist loud mouth idiot..that he called a close friend...this should have been reported as the story is, not slanted to give an excuse and make a cute little sniplet of a beer and a handshake at the whitehouse.
That would be covering the story
One of the humorous ironies about Murf (ask an 8th grader what "irony" means Murf) is that the phony indignation of the professor has so much in common with Murf's phony indignation that a suspended driver or warrant arrest occaisionally happens at an OVI checkpoint.
When people are programmed to be victims, like Murf and Gates, they will knee-jerk into that role in any scenario.
They are funny people.
So let me get your racist comment straight here....
Any white guy that does not believe in your Mickey Mouse world and has an opinion on a subject that relates to race must fall under the category of a Redkneck/Racist/NASCAR Lovin/hillbilly that beats his family and destroys his home?
Yeah, your type never stops the hypocrisy...
Again with the victim comment...lol
BA wasted countless hours looking for a racist comment...failed, the only thing he can come up with is a few shots at the leading extortionist of society...Sharpton and Jesse.
Deputy Gilmore twisted opinions and comments into so called lies...then failed to back them up.
I know I would never cry victimhood, I might show the other side of Disney Rainbow and idiots like the both of you, hate it when someone denounces your communist agenda.
I will try to answer your question, but you know us uneducated racist redkneck hillbillies don't have time for books, we are too busy beating our wives during NASCAR races and Klan meetings and joining millitias and conspiring against the great messiah b/c he is black.
Anyway...it is the liberal dream.
A one party system where govt controls just about every aspect of your life.
Anymore questions?
Look, it is real simple folks.
Communism and socialism both have failed in just about every country that tried to adopt the system
it is a flawed system and it treats people like animals.
China is about the strongest nation under the communist tag...have you ever heard or read anything on the basic human rights in China?
Seriously?
We are the strongest nation known to man kind, and we did not get here, by wavering at the smallest hints of trouble.
We are having some economic issues, but we have the resources to deal with it and move on.
This modern day society, is sad, no backbone, no will to fight for freedoms, no desire to defend the soldiers honor and death for freedom, we would rather toss our freedoms away and allow govt to control our lives, just to make it better...
News flash, it will never be better, or equal.
You have some people that work and achieve goals and you have others who don't.
Bottom line, it has been this way from the start and should stay that way.
Wavering and running should never be an option, yet we have an entire generation that would rather do that, than deal with a small hickup in history...pathetic at best.
what the hell are you talkign about? Are that fukking stupid? Who doesnt have a will to fight for freedoms? Christ, that is all I do on a day to day basis in my job...If you are talking about the "freedom" regarding private insurance, you can have it. That freedom has always bee pretty damn bogus in my eyes as far "freedoms" are concerned. You want me to stick with a "freedom" that can turn me down for pre-existing conditions, cancel my coverage at any time, raise my premiums because my kid gets sick and who decides arbitrarily what treatment I am covered for and which I am not? these are all things private insurance companies do. You realize that, right? You keep blathering on about "what the government decides for you". You know what? I dont mind the government option if I know they wont cancel my coverage for pre-existing conditions or raise my premiums to $2000 a month because my kid gets sick. Freedoms? You have no idea what Freedoms are if this is your best argument.
And by the way, which people don't defend the soldiers honor and death? Is it the party that sent them to Iraq to a war of choice or the ones that want them to return safely from an idiotic war of choice? If we had spent the last 7 years in Afghanistan, we might have had more success eradicating the people who attacked us.
Once again you play the victim, this time against the boogey-man elitist liberals that want to force their communist agenda on you. You are ridiculed here not because your opinion differs from others, but because of the way in which you scream and rant about hot-button topics in a clearly uninformed manner. Your loose cannon approach might pass on the internet, but let me tell you that if you attempted one of your rants in a respectable public setting you would be laughed out of the building. You throw out claims that you have zero support for and you hold an clear agenda to demean particular social groups. You have obvious anger management problems, as evidenced by all the ranting threads you start, so no one will ever really hear what you have to say. If you tried to ply your angry white guy schtick on the street you would probably get assaulted by someone offended by your rude and disrespectful statements. I dare you to go out on the street corner and start screaming about how great racial profiling is. I dare you to shout to the world that black people deserve to be pulled over or detained on the basis of their skin color because of some stats you heard on the radio. I dare you to go up to a group of black people and tell them that their problem is that they spend too much time listening to the "Rhymin' Revs" (one of your favorite terms, apparently). You won't do that because although you are clearly an angry person inside, you are also a coward. Forget political correctness -- you won't say these things because you don't have the balls to do it other than when you are safely hid behind your monitor.
Wrong. You are referrring to a system of government, specifically, totalitarianism. Communism is an economic system, not a government system. Do you realize a country could be a communist democracy? Cinci, I was amused to read your smash-mouth retort. I'd be surprised if the resident ignoramous can even comprehend how total his humilation is, once again.
Murf's whole persona is phony. He makes stuff up often, but sometimes maybe it's not lies. He's so desperate to give voice to his contrived outrage, maybe he can't comprehend that his delusional, factless diatribes aren't true merely because he wants them to be.
It's just sort of funny to read his make-believe gibberish. And, as BA pointed out, he's doubtless a nonthreatening pansie.
But he recites the same sort of factless, hateful rhetoric that motivates real monsters, like Tim McVeigh or that scum who attacked the Holocaust Memorial in Washington last month.
Maybe that makes the Murf's of the world a public service warning.....there are demogogic idiots among us. Some of them are dangerous.
The most corrupt, group of people outside pedophile priests.
You will not have an option b/c the private deal will be out of control and very few could afford a private provider.
Yes, we have lost the desire to fight for freedoms.
As Deputy Gilmore stated...the OVI checkpoints are legal...but they are a direct violation of the 4th.
We are willing to allow govt to purchase the auto industry and guess what else they purchased....the largest isnr. company on the planet.
Once they get healthcare going, then they control the basic foundation of your life.
Tell you when to eat, what to eat and how to eat.
Dingbat wants to place heating and air devices in every home, so that the govt can monitor your energy usage and carbon footprint.
Cinci...I am not wrong....
Communism (from Latin: communis = "common") is a socioeconomic structure and political ideology that promotes the establishment of an egalitarian, classless, stateless society based on common ownership and control of the means of production and property in general.[1][2][3] In political science, however, the term "Communism", usually spelled with the capital letter C is often used to refer to the Communist states[citation needed], a form of government in which the state operates under a one-party system and declares allegiance to Marxism-Leninism or a derivative thereof, even if the party does not actually claim that it has already reached communism.
"Yes, this modern day generation, has no backbone."
My friends that serve in the armed forces would disagree with you.
The only reason there is more widespread "dissent" (although I think there was probably more in the Vietnam era - they had protests, sit ins, hunger strikes, ect - what happened in the current time frame?) is because of access to information. In the 30's - 90's people had limited access to what was going on around the world - at least as it relates to immediate access. With more access comes more scrutiny. Its not about backbone, that is a bunch of horsesh!t. Just becuase people dont buy what Bush and Co. sold them hook, line and sinker doesn't mean the country is less patriotic or has less resolve.
Your whole paragraph seemingly (but obviously) neglects to consider that people may have had another reason why we hated the war Iraq. Here's a hint, it wasnt because of a lack of a backbone. Its becuase that war was fukking stupid, pointless, baseless and not the people who attacked us. DUH!
I am not talking about the millitary at all...
You should know better than that.
I am talking about the general public and the pathetic leadership.
This story was a perfect example of how mixed up modern society is.
You have people like BA that simply can't see the double standards and hypocrisy, and there are many like him.
I have made this point before but, when you have the lollipop soccer mindset taking over this nation, then yes, we have lost our backbone.
We change test scores and regualtions to make things easier, not just in the work field, but in school for children.
We attack our millitary and protect the enemy so we don't offend anyone that follows the same make believe religion.
We give up our basic rights, that soldiers have died to provide just to make things seem better.
We are sitting back and watching a leadership change our foundation of this country and many are cheering for it to support some fantasy world that will never work.
Gone are the days where people give a sh!t about govt, local or federal untill they think they get something out of it.
I can compare it to modern day society and raising children.
We had to do without and our parents had less things than we did.
The modern day kids are spoiled and believe that they owed something.
Many adults believe that they are owed something and it is up to the govt to provide for them.
I think the next generation will be lost.
