Poor Vicky, nobody loves him anymore....
lol!
Shocking that the Vikings don't offer him a minimum salary for 2 years, just to take a flyer on him since they have no legit qb on the roster.

Most teams have qb's and the ones that don't, have a chance at on of the trio for next year.

What is Vick's stance on being a starting QB? that may be the problem, if he was to agree to come in and help a team other than QBing on the cheap I couldn't see why someone wouldn't sign him.

I'd like to see what he could do as a KR

Most Qb's would kill for his win loss record...

Bring Vick here to Cinci. Palmer is as much of a douchebag as the oldschool candyasser for sure.

If we just look at Vick from a football perspective and not the PR/distraction perspective, here's what he brings...
-was never a very good passer...stats don't lie, and we've all watched him before. He's had some solid games topping 200 yards, but few and far between
-in his prime, a very good running QB
-left handed...some teams would see that as an advantage as a switch-up to confuse opposing defenses, while some would see that as a disadvantage
-solid won/lost record like bronco alluded to. He's a winner, even if the stats don't point towards it, much like a Steve Walsh or a Vince Young
-we are not sure if speed-wise he is where he was in his prime, but my guess is 'no' or else we would be seeing more interest in him, especially from teams that like to use gadget plays or the Wildcat
-because of what he's been though, I would imagine that he will be quiet about playing time (at least for a year) and keep out of trouble off the field

With that said, the only teams that could sign him without worrying much team chemistry and bad PR resulting in loss of season tickets or sponsors would be the Packers, Patriots, Steelers, Ravens, and Colts. The Packers and Steelers have the family like atmosphere and a history of making the right moves, and as for the fans/sponsors, even if they lost a few, they would be snatched up instantly. Even those in protest of Vick would likely still renew their season tickets b/c giving up tickets that people are waiting 10-30 years for would be silly just as a form of protest. The Patriots would make it work as long as he is athletic enough to be used in other forms. Otherwise, like the link said, why would they want to take snaps away from the best QB in the NFL. The Colts do not need a QB but b/c Dungy is his 'mentor' he would be accepted there for the most part. And the Ravens have the ultimate 'Godfather' influence in Ray Lewis. When Lewis voices his opinion, teammates and fans listen and share his opinion.

Other logical teams it just would not work. Cowboys are moving into their 100,000 seat stadium and would not want to alienate any fans at this point. The Raiders are struggling with selling tickets. The Vikings despite their need for a QB have been on the up and up under Ziggy Wilf ever since the Sexboat Scandal during the Tice/Culpepper era. Jaguars would be in the same boat as the Raiders only with a smaller and even less loyal fan base. Many other teams are set at QB, and the ones who aren't may not want to mess with the heads of a young QB (a'la the Jets and Dirty Sanchez or the Browns and BQ).
