Bad game...
Bad scheme, bad effort, bad execution.
Rebound and play hard next week or Bears will take it to you.
I count atleast 7 drops! maybe more, but vividly can count seven.
Defense was not there, I don't know if that had anything to do with the Zimmer deal this week or not.
Roy Williams needs to get back in the line up.
Coats needs to join St Louis on the streets.
Need to get Henry and Scott and Leanord more involved in the game plan.
Cedric Benson is good, but he needs some breathers here and there and the Bengals need to spread the field more to give Palmer, your best player on the team, a better chance than forcing him to make plays on 3rd and long.
Defense, needs to blitz more...next week you are facing a qb that probably has the strongest arm in the league and a very good tailback.
Not to worried yet, I hope this sends a message that you can't play half azzed and pull it out late every week.
Have to play every snap hard and to the finish.
Marvin needs to jump some azz...
Coaches and players...should not lose to anyone at home if you want to be a playoff team.

What is the story on Antwan Odom?
That effort against Houston looked so listless that I'm feeling considerably less hopeful. The Bungs will have to play a completely different game against Chicago next week. Another poor effort and the season goes pffft.
And how long have we been clamoring for a descent tight end to go with Reggie Kelly? The Bengals were flirting with disaster for the last few years in the event that he went down. Turns out that it didn't matter because they were terrible anyway. Until this year.
The only aggressive effort they made was to sign Ben Utecht as a free agent, and he hasn't been able to stay healthy. They screwed around with Dan Coats last year by playing him as a fullback. That long neglect of the TE position may negate a lot of good effort in other areas.

Layin' Eggs

The Bungles weren't the only team to lay a big one today. How about those formerly undefeated Giants? They were wiped off the field by the Saints 48-27. The Saints are an excellent team, that is true, but the Giants were supposed to be excellent, too. The outcome was never in doubt. Now that's what I call laying an egg.
How about those Eagles? They lost to Crazy Al's Raiders 13-9. That's right, the very same Raiders who were a basket case going into the game. The team that has one of history's biggest draft busts at quarterback, the guy whose QB rating is about as bad as it could be. Now that's really laying an egg, I tell you.
But how about those Jets? They somehow managed to lose to the ultra-inept Bills. That's right, the very same Bills who lost to the Browns last week. (The Browns!) The very same Bills who lost their starting quarterback early in the game. And who was the backup quarterback who brought the Bills back from the grave? None other than Ryan Fitzpatrick. That's right, the very same Ryan Fitzpatrick who was so scintillating for the Bengals last year. Now that's really, really, really laying an egg!
So maybe our feathers shouldn't get quite so ruffled over one rotten game. But if the Bungles lay another egg at home next week, then we can say the sky is falling.

psycho... you need to re-schedule your appointment with your sponsor... I think the cool aid addiction is showing.
"Well, it ain't braggin' if it's true
Yes sir, yes sir
It ain't braggin' if it's true
Muhammad Ali said that
Back when he was a young man
Back when he was Cassius Clay
Before he fought too many fights
And left his brain inside the ring"

Hey, these are heady days, Belko. With four wins already, we'll be in the playoff hunt through mid November. At least on paper. That's an embarrassment of riches for a Bengals fan. Enjoy it while it lasts. We'll be back to the same old same old next year.
