I saw the Chiefs may release Larry Johnson. If they do do the Bengals go after him for the rest of the season? We have a huge viod at back up running back and could use him. The question that remains is how much would he cost, and would he want to come here. He has a questionable background but we know that doesn't really matter.

My first thought was NO!

but after thinking about it he is could be on his best behavior trying to convince people that he isn't a cancer and when healthy he is a top 10 back in the NFL

Where is the huge void at tailback?
We are loaded at tailback...
Benson is leading the NFL rushing.
Leanord has proven to be very worthy and Scott is a rookie with great skills.

Larry Johnson is a piece of sh!t.
3 assault charges against women...not fake trumped up charges, but physical harm.

he has been nothing but a drama queen in Kansas City.

Hell no!

That would be about as smart as brining Owens here...

We have a good thing going, with people accting like profesional athletes, we don't need a locker room cancer right now.

No, unless Benson gets hurt.

Corey Dillon Part II? You really want that? Larry Johnson throwing his pads into the stands in 2010 or 2011?

Nah--Bungles should pass.

we are hardly "loaded" at TB, Scott is a rookie and injured and Leonard hasn't proven he can carry the load if Benson goes down, in one of the few times when lightning strikes a Bengals season it would really suck not to have a viable backup if something were to happen to Benson.

When Larry Johnson criticized his coach publicly, he may have crossed a line that would even prevent Mount St. Redeemer from popping off and signing him. But to be on the safe side, I wouldn't mind seeing KC hang on to the running back whose troubles seem to erupt without warning.

I don't think mikey would want to buck up for LJ, and frankly I bet has flashbacks of Carl Pickens when he thinks of what it might be like to have him on the team.

Benson was about the biggest mid-season aquisition made in mike brown's tenure, and we were out of the playoff race and it was ABSOLUTELY out of necessity...he had 12 carries his first week here I believe...

but still...i could understand a thread like this last year but not with your 1st string tail-back leading the NFL rushing this year...what team have you been watching this season whit? i know that one ufl team has odell and c.perry and even dede dorsey but no, that isn't us...

I watched last week and am no way criticizing Cedric Benson's performance.

37 carries = injury

We need a backup bad because Scott and Leonard couldn't get it done.

Bernard Scott got injured earlier in the Bears game and Brian Leonard was already injured before the game. That's why Benson was still in there. They were still running the ball because it's just poor sportsmanship to pass the ball with a 35 point lead. I'm not sure why this is so difficult to understand.

Bernard Scott might or might not be durable enough to be an every down RB, I don't know. But I believe Brian Leonard is durable enough to carry the load if Benson goes down. And in a more general statement I am of the opinion that good running backs are in a surplus these days. If one goes down it's not that big a deal to plug another one in. This obviously isn't true in the case of superstars like Adrian Peterson but for the most part a RB is a RB and owes a huge part of his success (or failure) to others, like the O-line.

Brian Scott got injured, Brian Leonard is injured. We have no back up running backs. We need to pick up someone because if Cedric goes down we have no capable runningbacks to fill in. Leonard is a situational runner and Scott is small and couldn't carry the load. We need someone to fill in.

The Seahawks cut Edrin James. Do you think the Bengals will pick him up? He could be a good back up.

According to Marvin today, the Bengals have no injuries this week.
Scott and Leanord are both cleared to play...

Shirley is pretty versatile... he could probably carry the load in a pinch
