Early predictions anyone? Assuming Marvin is gone of course.

You guys are like the guys that go to a t!t bar and honestly believe that the girl really likes you and you are the first person that she has ever told that you make her horny!

Marvin has a contract sitting on his desk...(I am hoping like hell, that he is done and refuses to sign it), but to play the game, lets say Marvin walks...
Zimmer is your next head coach, or someone else on that staff.

Leslie Frasier?
LOL!

There is a very long list of coaches that I would rather have than another first time head coach.
If you are going in that direction, Zimmer is a better option.

Problem is Mike Brown thinks this is a just another bump in the road, they won the division last year under this coaching staff and this front office...

Well I want Jon Gruden.

But I want MB dead too. That hasn't happened.

But since Josh McDaniels is on Bowlen's payroll for $3M next year whether he coaches or not, I'd say that makes him prime MB material.

Mikey is cleverer than you think.

Bob Bratkowski - rewarded for his years of loyalty to Mike Brown.  If not him, Zimmer.

"Stop dreaming and start looking at reality"

********************************************

Damn murf that's cold. Reality BLOWS! Reality is what makes me want to stay in church an extra hour on Sunday so I won't have to come home and watch Mikey's Misfits. Reality is what makes me change the channel at half time so I can catch the latest episode of "Improving Prostate Health." Reality is what is making me start rooting for the Browns again. Reality makes me afraid to read Marvin's press conference because I'm scared he's going to say something totally retarded to spin the latest loss into something good, like "Well at least we made them punt once." Reality makes me consider the possibility that Bob Bratkowski might be the next Head Coach. Reality makes me believe Mike Brown will die when he's 130 years old. Reality makes me believe my great grandson will be an MBS forum moderator someday. Reality makes me realize that the Bengals O-Line and D-Line are perhaps the most stupid collection of dolts ever assembled for any purpose.

Now, with that in mind please pause to condider these drug induced fantasies....

The Bengals need a head coach who is a genuine Butt Kicker ala Forest Gregg or Bill Parcells. While Marvin tries to sweet talk Chad into running the correct route and getting to his spot, the new coach tells Chad to either get to his spot or get off the field. And when Pat Sims jumps off-sides when everyone in the stadium knows that's what they're trying to get him to do (except him of course,) and his press comment is, "Heck man everyone makes mistakes," the new coach says, "Yup, and you'll have time to reflect on yours while running gassers this week."

To summarize, I'd love to see Brian Billick, Jon Gruden or even Mike Singleterry rather than another one of Mikey's Midlevel Managers................. and then I woke up.

Stop dreaming and start looking at reality

I don't think anyone had listed their dream choices. They just said what they thought Mikey would do.

I'm in tandem with murf...Mikey would probably let Marvin keep the job but Marvin doesn't want the job without major concessions so it falls to Zimmer. And honestly, with Mikey, that is the absolute best you can hope for. Even if Zim turns out to be a terrible head coach, he'll probably still be better than anybody else Mikey would have picked/promoted.

I'm in agreement with TOBB.

I'm already on the record saying I think Zim gets the nod after Marvin walks. McDaniels isn't my "dream candidate" by any means, but would be my pick of the coaches that seem even remotely in the realm of possibility.

There simply are not a lot of offensive coaches with head-coaching experience available. I would like to see Palmer, and the entire team, play under an offensive coach WITH HIS OWN STAFF. I think there is a chance we get to move on from Brat after this year. I know, I know. I must be high or something. But bear with me for a sec. Z is already locked and the fans like him, he ain't going anywhere. It would be very unusual for a HC to not get to pick either coordinator for his staff. In fact, it may make it even harder to fill the position period with even a quasi-legitimate candidate if they don't feel they have some power off the bat. Brat is already the ideal scapegoat for fans, behind perhaps only Palmer, and again, he ain't going nowhere. Brown-hole is a business man first and foremost, and a pretty damn good one. He will see that the cheapest and best PR move he can make would be to change O-coordinars to placate the sheep. It will be the talk of the offseason, "the new-look Bengals offense." Then when it fails the next year will be, "offensive staff just needed one year to get the pieces in place."

Anyway, McDaniels was mainly failed by his defense this year, though that is his fault since he fired a solid coordinator in the offseason. We have Z in place already, so why not? If we are stuck with Palmer, we may as well get a coach who at least has a chance to help turn around the offense.

Plus its another redepmtion project for the Brown-hole.

"We do do, and we do it at a very, very high level," Lewis said.

I would love to get Mchoody!

I think he got fired b/c the owner is a d-bag and can't handle a minority of idito fans screaming in the back ground.
I would take him in a second.

Cutler talked sh!t...see ya
Marshall talked sh!t...see ya

Hillis was a mistake by they have 2 very productive backs on the roster anyway, so it looks bad but most team would have tried to turn Hillis into a faullback anyway.

Mchoody brings a modern day offense and sense of accountability.

Would be huge upgrade from Marvin..

But saying that, it will be Marvin or Zimmer.

I'm just dying to laugh at the predictable Sheep Gazette press clippings whenever the coaching change is made. Much like I read when they turned to Shula then Coslet then LeBeau then Marvin, it will go something like this:

"The team now recognizes that the players need to be guided by a more discipline-oriented coach."

Exactly. If only kittens had more discipline (and a better scheme}, they could finally whip those Pit Bulls.

May the Agony of the Sheep endure forever.

People in Cincinnati think they get raped on tickets and concessions... if Madoff was ever out of prison; he would sell the shirts off of everyone's backs. Hell, you would be charged to SIT in a seat, or even take a breath if you went into PBS.

I have no problem w/McDaniels as long as he is not handling personnel.

Trading Cutler and Hillis, letting Marshall walk. Trading up for Tebow. Maybe the only personnel guy worse than Mike Brown in the NFL.

This is who I vote for.

WTF--proven what--that he can continue the Bungles' losing ways?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? I agree. He's proven all right. He proved it in places like Chicago and Buffalo.

Very fitting that Mikey could choose somebody like Jauron. Seems very "Yes, man"'ish to me.

Coaching for Mike Brown would give Meyer some real health problems to complain about. I'm sure he would have to take the job against doctor's orders.

Since we're dreaming, how about the egomaniacal fellow who turned Jay Cutler around this year. Now that would be an interesting train wreck, what with the Bungs line and good ol' Pick-6 trying to run that offense.
