I know it's still PreSeason but still--the Lions act like they wanna win. The attitude has totally changed since the mid-2000's.
Suh is a f*cking beast--and Matt Stafford even seems like he doesn't want that annual vagina pull injury.
They have changed. Too bad that doesn't happen in the 'Nati.
I'm sitting here watching the game vs. the Patriots--and the Lions don't seem one bit intimated by Pro Bowlers like Mankins. Suh--after Mankins got a PF for facemasking one of his fellow D-Linemen just took Mankins and threw him like a wet diaper into the trash can. Should have got flagged himself. But what the retarded announcers don't understand that you can't let another player get away with what Mankins did. Suh didn't. I like that Intimidator Factor in Suh. It was as intimidating as Dale Earnhardt flipping off some other driver on the track--and I dispise Neckcar--but I miss seeing those highlights on ESPN.
"So he got fired? Big deal. It's happened to the best of us. So he got kicked out of his house by his 400 lb'ed wife?!?!? That's probably better for him anyways."-OldSchooler on ChrisMBHater's absence

The Lions have some good linemen to say the least and Stafford is the best QB drafted in the last 5 years. I still fear Stafford may get "David Carred" in Detroit but they have picked up good pieces to protect him. It will be interesting. Their number 1's have been kicking butt.

1) My opinion before, during and after the 2010 draft is that St. Louis should have drafted Suh and aimed for McCoy in Round 2 (not that I don't think Sam Bradford won't turn out great, but they could have maximized their value that way).
2) The Lions, wonder of wonders, actually changed some things! They fired (way too late but still did) Matt Millen and got a new coaching staff and developed a new plan for the team. Lo and behold, they might actually get results.
Whereas Mike Brown observed the last eight years and decided there was no need to change the coach, the lack of a scouting staff, the lack of an indoor facility, the lack of a general manager.....and he wonders (well, he probably doesn't wonder, but homers wonder) why players aren't playing to win here.
He changed the O.C.......I guess we can't expect too many changes at once. That would make his brain hemmorage.
Not sure whether to predict the Lions for 2nd, 3rd or 4th...on the one hand: it's the Lions. Something always goes wrong (and Stafford is awfully injury prone and has no real solid backup). On the other: they have a lot more pieces and the attitude adjustment is there. Should be interesting to see.

I heard some talking bozo on the radio the other day say that he is not a fan of him b/c he is injury prone, then went on a sexual fantasy about how great Vick is....
Vick has played 1 entire season his entire career.
Amazing how facts destroy an idiots opinion.
The Lions are not there yet, but will not be a fun team to play.
They have too many flaws to compete for the division title.

Vick doesn't tend to miss as much prolonged time as Stafford has (that is to say, he gets injured every year, but other than his 2003 injury, he usually finds himself back on the field pretty quickly), but still, point well-taken.
I think the bigger problem isn't so much Stafford getting hurt, but how significant a decline the depth chart takes once he's hurt. Criticize Vince Young all you want, but I'd gladly take Young subbing for an injured Vick over either Hill or Stanton subbing for an injured Stafford.
