Throughout all of OSU's problems with their offense, I still respected their defense....until now.

Wow!! OSU has absolutely nothing on either side of the ball. They are the absolutely worst team I have ever witnessed at OSU. No doubt, f%ckle will have more teams for us in the future that will be far worse.

I'm thinking I need a new hobby other than sports. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm wondering at what point do I achieve the Bungalized emotion. You know, you expect them to lose and when they don't you kinda get pissed. It's almost as if they win every now and then just to leave a certain degree of uncertainty. Of course, the only certainty is that they will never have a winning season.

So would I achieve this Bungalization in 2 years, 5 years, or 10 years? Looking back it took me close to a decade with the Bungs. If OSU starts down this road I may cut it down to 3 years, just to save time. Then I'll just stop watching altogether.

Heartbreaking...

Miller is a special player. I am willing to bet he makes a marked improvement in his second year.

Braxton Miller is going to be good. So is the defense. I guess if OSU is going to have a rebuild year--this year is it.

That was one of the weirdest collapses I've ever seen. Your QB gets hurt and you wave the white flag as he's limping off the field?

Just strange.

So, what's the 3rd QB Option look like? Can't be any worse than Mr. 1-12, 1 pick.....can it?????????

Dude is probably getting death threats today.

"What makes you think Miller is going to be good?"

Did you see that game last night? The Buckeyes were a different team with Miller in there. The players believe in him. Team with Miller out? They were Indiana.

Is he going to be Cam Newton? Probably not. Vince Young? Nah. But for a Freshman playing in a very hostile Lincoln, NE--he looked pretty goddamned good, Murf.

I think it's a window for what you're going to see out of the Buckeyes for the next 2 years.

Now--what to do about the coaching situation......hmmmmmmmmmmm

Miller

October 10 2011, 10:05 AM

I left midway through the third quarter, so was surprised to find out the Buckeyes lost. Braxton Miller looks like 10 times the QB Terrell Pryor was as a freshman. He has a tendency to throw the ball too hard but thats better then Pryors moonballs his first year.

This was my first chance to see him play. The announcers said no one blocked against Michigan State and Mike Adams helped out there. He reminds me of McNabb and it makes me wonder if McNabb wasn't his favorite QB because he wears number 5.

I saw a QB that dropped back to pass and if nothing was there, he took off. He looked alittle more powerful as a runner but not as fast.

In Terrell Pryor's defense the team had 200 times more pressure to win his freshman year.

Having Mike Adams back helped A TON.

HE is a legit NFL tackle.

Bauserman is just awful. Worst QB in OSU's history. He cant play the game.

If Miller can't go, Kenny Guiton better get the start, at least he can run.

Watch out for the Buckeyes next year. Their team hardly loses anybody off the defensive side of the ball. And the monster John Simon could declare--but I'll bet he stays another year. You don't wanna end your Collegiate Career with a loser.

Next year will be a decent year.

Coach

It all depends on who becomes the coach next year? Urban Meyer seems to be the person everyone thinks OSU is going to go after.

In fact, he is the only big name coach out there that I've even heard mentioned. Its pretty obvious Fickell is not coming back.

Who are some of the other coaches you've heard mentioned?

All you OSU homers facing reality now...kinda fun to see your expectations lowered. Plenty of room on the wait til next year boat.

All this talk about Urban Meyer...why in the world would he want to go to Columbus? He has cush job now. He left a job at Florida that completely consumed him. He hated that atmosphere. It'll be 10x worse at OSU with the alum and boosters thinking he's the next coming of Christ. With OSU coming of sanctions thats just more pressue to deal with...I say no friggn way.

bronco, weren't you sticking your neck out and thinking 9 wins was a possibility this year? You'd have to run the table now. Good Luck. Maybe OSU can play USC in the Lingerie Bowl.

The Meyer thing - a lot of it stems from where he grew up and where he started coaching.

Just awesome ending to a very good ballgame. And I was switching back and forth from OSU Game to Stanford Game. Man as a fan, that was ecsacy at it's finest. One game ends in the last 20 seconds. The other ends in 3rd OT.

Just f*cking excellent. And the commercials seemed to match up perfectly too.

Well fellas, I was lucky enough to have gone to the Wisconsin game and watched the glorious OSU victory. It ranked up their with many other memorable games at the Shoe, but with an added bonus of pay back for last year and many other years Wisconsin has blown the OSU season. It seems Wisonsin was a thorn in Tressels side. No doubt, he is smiling wherever he may be.

As for that 4rth down throw by the Badgers that gave them the lead, I saw it coming the entire way but was powerless to stop it. It was like being in an automobile accident as everything is put in slow motion to add to the horror. I have never seen someone so open in my life!! I just can't explain why OSU folds defensivly in the 4rth quarter. Is it a lack of conditioning, concentration, what? Or is it just the other team watching the entire game what their weaknesses are and exploiting them at the last moment. Maybe its a combo of all three.

I'm just glad OSU won. If they had not, there would be hell to pay.

It's cool you got to be there, theydey. Seems like Wisconsin have been a problem for the Buckeyes since at least the 1980's.

So much for an angry Badgers team being extra-motivated after an excruciating loss.

So, is the rivalry approaching that of Ohio State-Michigan?

You are right Syno-man. Braxton is getting better every game. I just stop and wonder what might have been had Fickle started him against Akron. It really bothers me that they started Loserman instead of Braxton considering Loserman is now a third string QB. It makes me question their judgement.

How can anyone question Criag Krenzel? Sure, he did not have the best skills of other OSU QB's but he made up for it in judgement and play calling. I know from passed down info that Craig called many of his own plays including the last play against Purdue to win the game. Had he not done so, they would not have been national champs.

Sorry, Craig is now immortalized as one of the best considering he went the distance. He is in an elite category for the rest of eternity no matter how you or anyone else bad mouths him.

I can't believe that Craig Krenzel ranks up there with Rex Kern--but he has to as far as legendary Buckeye QBs go.

As far as the Michigan Rivalry Game--I think the Buckeyes have them.

One thing that worries me though--the Buckeye LB'ers spying vs. Running QB. It seems they can't get the job done.

One thing that the Buckeyes have going for them--John Simons and the Defensive Front 4. I think they will give the Throwing RB issues all game.
