To me the team at best looks like 9-7. Evan with a 3rd string quarterback the Texans are better. BTW they won today. The only real winnable games now are Ariz and STL. But STL on the road is iffy esp with the Bengals fading fast. I think this loss today will take the starch out of the remainder of the season. Not even giggles can save the team now.

Im not willing to abandon ship after one bad loss.

If the game was competitive and close I would see it differently. But in a must win situation and the way they responded all bets are off now. Most of the wins they had so far was against poor teams. Need to see how they do the heavy lifting now.

The Bungles did go on a 5 game winning streak but that was against non-playoff caliber teams. Pretty much sums up the season fellas.

Marvin tried like hell to get the boys motivated at halftime today with one of his patented motivational speeches but he is kinda running out of themes but was seen with a box of detergent going into the locker at the half, a reliable source is reporting that Marvin was over heard telling the boys "better do the laundry boyees"

Marvin tricked the younger players with that motivation BS, crap will be wearing off fast now that shades of the Bungles are started to show through the smoke and mirrors.

This team has absolutely no business in the playoffs. Especially if they sneak in at #6, they will be CRUSHED in round 1. Do we need to see this ?? Is this going to make us feel better ??

Looks like Mikey did it in reverse order this year. Usually after Halloween or so after the team has been hopelessly eliminated they somehow win some games late to tease the fans about next year and everyone thinks "wow we have turned the corner now". This year thanks to a soft schedule (which was based on last year's performance) they managed to do another tease and get everyone thinking yet again "wow we have turned the corner now - on to the superbowl". I feel most on this board didn't buy it but still held out some faint hope anyhow. 9-7 is still my call here (optimistically) but realistically even with this schedule did anyone really think they would get in the playoffs ?

If they are anywhere near the top 8 AFC teams on paper is irrelevant...the fact is that their taking care of business against their opponents to date including head to head against Tennessee might be enough to get them in, especially if they can keep winning down the stretch. So if the question is "can they make the playoffs" then of course the answer is yes. If the question is "do they deserve to make the playoffs?" then the answer is also yes...they are beating the teams scheduled. If the question is "are they one of the best teams in the AFC?" or "could they beat a number of non-playoff teams" then the answer is no...they are inferior to the Jets, the Raiders, a healthy Chargers, and of course the top AFC teams PIT/NE/BAL/HOU.

While it is difficult to imagine them getting swept by PIT and BAL but still making the playoffs, that scenario is possible as well.

I agree Marvin has done an amazing job polishing a turd.

Marvin hasn't really done anything except botch the Denver game, I think it has more to do with Zimmer and his defense for getting them where they are, The defense has been a great insurance policy to the offense by constantly handing them the ball back, it allows the offense to be more aggressive and confident, if you look they have went 1-4 the last 4 weeks after the defense has suffered injuries. Fully healthy this defense is Super Bowl Caliber imo. with injuries to the DL and Hall, the defense has suffered and now Dalton and the offense's mistakes aren't so easily overcome.


Zimmers contract is up this year I believe, not sure if he is on anybody's short list as a HC but I would be surprised if he returns here as the def coord, if he doesn't return I predict Marvin will have a tough time cracking 6 wins and will be exposed for the fraud that he is
