I have no problem with Romeo getting the KC gig.
I don't believe Hue should have been fired, but that is what happens when you bring in a new person to run the show.

Reading sub headlines on Zimmer getting a few interviews, came across a rumor that Del Rio would be a possible D-cord if Zimmer got a Head gig.
I would not have a problem with that at all.
I am not sure that I would want Coyle, he is a Marvin clone and from what I have seen of Marvin, I am not sure we need another coach in charge that loves to play scared to death.

I wonder if Palmer (Mr. pic 6) played a role in Jackson's firing and the fact that they gave up so much for a QB that is probably past his prime (and maybe bungalized). I think if that's it the GM should be called on the carpet also.

I am giving Palmer a freebie this year.

There are 3 reasons why Palmer gets a pass on this season.

1. Al Davis died and he was the Raiders longtime owner so the whole front office was in disarray.

2. He came into a new system with no preseason and after waiting out a knucklehead owner who wouldn't give into his trade request. That on top of a lockout and starting midseason.

3. This is the biggest reason why Palmer deserves a free pass. Darren McFadden was hurt and he is the star of the team. Palmer was supposed to come in a hand the ball off to him and make 5 third down throws a game. When McFadden got hurt, he had to throw the ball 40 times with no chemistry with his receivers.

I think things will be different with an offseason to get timing with his receivers and McFadden to open up passing lanes.

We will see?

Uh, you lose 4 of your last 5, the last game at home to an also-ran in San Diego to miss the playoffs. Then he blasted his players like no one's business after the San Diego game. Inbetween he publicly stated that Al Davis told him that the Raiders would win the Super Bowl, he did not know how but that it was God's plan. Hue stated he believed in Al. Ok, good, I believe in the Easter Bunny too. Its this kind of crap that got McKenzie thinking that Huey had a screw loose. No head coach spews that stuff at the podium. Good God he needed interevention and put under 72 hr observation in the psyche ward.

Palmer is really not that good, nor has he been for some time. Next season he will look no different than he did this season...or last season...or the one before that. The guy was Bungalized long ago along with his ruined knee. He never recovered from those things. He will never be a very good QB again. He is a statue in the pocket and he consistently throws terrible balls and pick 6's. This trade was the stupidest trade I think I have ever seen go down in the NFL (I just can't believe the Brownhole was on the positive end of it for once), and it will look all the more so when Palmer continues to fall on his face next season. My prediction: he will be benched before the end of next year, and the Raiders will be looking in a new direction for their starting QB.

The trade had nothing to do with him getting fired.

It should be a fun offseason for the Raiders.

I really think the Raiders should have given Hue one more year. Afterall, he was only in his first year dealing with a lockout, no OTAs, Al Davis' death, injuries, and a QB brought in off the couch midseason.  He orchestrated the Palmer trade, and while I think that the Bengals got the upperhand on that one, he has a good relationship with Palmer, and the two might have done well given an offseason to work together.  If not, then move.  Too late now, though.

Since Marvin and Hue are such good friends I wonder if Hue could be hired as a special assistant to Jay Gruden. This is assuming he won't get another offer, which I think he will. If nothing else he could be the guy who keeps the red flag away from Marvin the Mental Midget.
