I know, if they didn't spend money, then they are cheap.
If they do spend money it is on no name hacks.
If they make the playoffs Giggles is the greatest coach to have ever lived.
If they don't make the playoffs the front office can't find talent.
LMAO...

....I know it hilarious. Cause in reality we all know its the black man's fault (giggles) not the white man's (mikey). When are us dumbasses gonna figure it out?

Letting Jo-Jo walk when you have a franchise tag in your pocket and the $ under the cap will never be a "solid" offseason imo. One of the stupidest moves in recent memory, and this from a franchise with a recent history flush with stupid moves.
I will begrudgingly admit they have made some low-cost moves this offseason that could pan out. Or they might not, but the risk was right for the reward.
The question is: Can you be a legitimate contender by making a series of low-cost moves? It's easier to find "good value" when you are only signing guys on the cheap but where does that get us? From a purely economic, cost-benefit standpoint it makes sense to spend $50 million to get 8 wins rather than spend $100 million to get 11 or 12 wins, but fans don't care about millions spent per win, we want to have a shot a the Lombardi. Everything else is meaningless.
Put it this way, if you spent $50 on ingredients at Food Lion and someone spent $100 at Whole Foods, you could probably make a decent meal and the other person might not make a deal that was "twice as good," so you got better value. On the other hand, if you were on a cooking show and the whole point was to make the best meal period, you would lose. No one would care that your meal was a good value, the point was to make the best meal and you failed. That's kind of how I view the Bungs. The brownHole has become more adept at whipping up a decent tasting S--t-sandwich. He now offers some condiments, the bread is a little better quality, but it's still a s--t sandwich.
"We do do, and we do it at a very, very high level," Lewis said.

Zimmer has a knack for turning around players like Jamaal Anderson and Derrick Harvey. They might turn out to be better than Rucker and Fanene.
Ditching Benson for Green-Ellis is a net loss in my opinion.
Echos of Mike Brown's laughter are still reverberating in regards to Wharton's contract (much cheaper than what Livings is getting in Dallas). Still, that has to be a plus for the team.
Nelson's signing was a must, so they managed to avoid disaster on that one. Avoiding disaster by a hair is not "solid".
The Jason Allen signing seems OK. And I'm sure everybody read Allen's comments that J-Joe's "heart is still in Cincinnati." A classic botch job by the Bungs last year.
Losing Lippencott and getting two scouts? Priceless.
At least the Bungs are putting forth some effort, but I wouldn't call it solid. Barely holding their own, maybe. At least that's an improvement over years past.

I say the Bungs have a worse year this year than last. At first, I thought the Bungs would have a terrible year last year, however, I did not take into consideration a few facts. Last year the Bungs recieved a lot of new young talent. One of them was Dalton, that Mikey did not even want to begin with. So here you have some nice raw talent that has been well coached in college ready to do battle. However, as the season progressed, you could see signs that their play steadily deterioated due to poor coaching and living in an environment of dysfunction. I say it is all down hill from here. The only question becomes, when will Dalton retire to get out of dodge? As we all know, playing QB for the Bungs is like joining the mob. There is only one way out.
