There was some article out that I read (can't remember where I read it)--but it said that 75% of all NFL'ers--when they retire, 2 years out of the league, they are totally broke.

See TO. See Andre Rison.

Jesus. You've got to be kidding me. Who's their financial advisors???????? They need to be shot.

Well, at least they are giving back to the community/helping out the economy.

Lord have f*cking mercy.

There are a lot of pirates and so called financial planners/money managers who aren't worth a $hit and are disreputable also and many pro athletes aren't good with money and investing and as a result are easy prey for these types. Look at some of the rich who were duped by Bernie Maddoff and they were supposed to be "knowledgeable". It's a jungle out there and the sharks are circling. Caveat emptor.

Ditto. I'm still paying off school loans while some of these guys waste millions, still get a noew source of income because of who they are, then still end up blowing that and end up on Dr. Phil or committing suicide or on reality TV or some combination of those three.

Wyche, hopefully you received a degree that is useful. It is a crime how much the university cost.
